Do you use your real picture on all of the site you belong to?

This is a real picture of me - well, a PART of me. I like it and it really represents me well.

I use a real picture I took of a sunset! On most sites I use, I do use my real facial picture, but only because Only people that know me personally get to see. I dont think it would be too horrible...Wait, I have real pictures up of me on this site. So scratch what I said, apparently I dont care! LOL!

I never use my picture, but when I use a picture as "me", it is usually something I created or a picture I took. I am not so much afraid of running into people I know, or being "stalked" (if that would ever happen...), I am discreet, and I don't like to be pre-judged. I would rather be known for what I am saying than what I look like. Sometimes people think someone could not possibly have anything of value to say just because they look a certain way.

I dont like using my own photo in as an avtar because the internet is full of illeagle things. I will narrate you one experience which one of my online friend had experiences. He added his photos in his ORKUT Albums and after a few weeks his photo was posted in an XXX rated sited ,scince then i never use my real photo. And i also advise every one not to post your photos in public albums and sites. Always be careful ,because it may land you in trouble.

Mylot is the only real discussion site that I come to and I have no one here who is from my personal life as far as I know. So when I joined I used the avatar that I have used in one form or another on several forums and sites of that nature. It is not just a "pretty" picture but is something that has some meaning to me. As a guy I'm not worried about attracting someone in the same way that a woman might be but even guys should show some caution on the Internet. Actually I don't even have a recent picture of myself anyway, so I don't really consider that an option. In any case I am quite fond of my avatar and have no desire to change it.

now why would i want to put my picture up? i'm not confident enough to flash up all my pictures online for the entire world to see. I like the hide behind the mask of mysterious. i am able to say things i want to say and not feel threatened because people would know who am i.

Well.. on most of the websites I do. But sometimes it can be such a pain to look up for pictures on my computer so I just leave it blank on some websites.

I hardly use my picture - I personally don't think I look that good, and I don't want to torture others with my image... chuckle... No, I'm a private person, and I don't want someone walking up to me and asking "Hey, don't you myLot?" But the avatars I use are a direct reflection of my soul - there's only two I use no matter what website I'm on. Real friends of mine can tell who I am by the reflection of my soul that I share in my avatars.

hi, well, i use my own pic because i dnt like fooling people around... cme on ya, afterall, ur pic is ur identity!! its nt a question of being descreet or wtever!!

I will be a different wed site using a different picture. if i want other people to know myself more easily,I will use the real picture ,but some of the sites i use only an avatar.I am worried because its security .without affecting my life ,i will use the real information.

I use my real picture on websites that I might find friends that I know already. Otherwise, I use avatars of fandoms I belong to or just stuff that I like. I'm not really afraid that I might come across someone I don't like. :)

I usually use my real picture as my avatar on most of the web sites that I am a member, although every now and again, I might change it to one of my recent favorite photos. I probably need to change my avatar on myLot. I don't think that I have done so in a while. It i probably getting pretty stale. Thanks for starting this discussion, it has been a good reminder!

I post my real picture all the time so that the people I want to get in touch with would not doubt that it is the real me. I like avatars, too, but I just don´t feel it describing who I am or how I look. I don´t really give a damn if people annoy me. Block button is always available and easy.
