Do you cut your own hair?

Do you cut your own hair, or do you get it done at a salon? I find that my hair grows so quickly, I have to trim it at home. I normally just trim my bangs and my layers and not the full length. I also find that this saves quite a bit of money, which is nice in hard economic times. Do you cut your hair at home, or do you travel to a salon every time you need a trim?

Hi! I trim my own hair. I think I have some skill in cutting the edges straight. I could not style my own hair, though. That's when I go to the salon. I have my hair perm nowadays so it's easier to style. When it gets too long for my taste, and I don't have the time to have it styled, I trim it by brushing my hair straight first, then I do my hair cutting. It works for me, and it saves a lot of money, especially here in the States where salon services are very costly. Happy myLotting!

yes i most often cut my hair than go to the salon. it is much cheaper and i end up liking my cut than what i get on the salon lol. maybe because i dont criticize the cut i did. . i always ending up mad or sad when i get an expensive cut then not liking it. some of the cutters insist what they like on my hair than cutting the way i want them to cut it. so i always ending up cutting my hair.

Hi surveytaker, I keep long straight hair and I wear my hair in fringe. The shorter hair at the front part would grow longer in a few weeks time. Some of them would go on my eyelids and make them to feel uneasy. I usually would trim them to become a bit shorter myself. I always try not to do this little cutting by visiting the hair salon as the charge of service there is rather expensive and it’s not worth to pay for this tiny and simple hair trim. What’s more we have to consume much time waiting in the queue to have the simple hair cut. During those earlier days I found rather difficult to trim the fringe nicely, but by observing the actual way of cutting when I visiting the salon a couple of times, I then could manage to trim my front hair better later on. The work becomes more efficient as well after using the good quality pair of hair cutting scissors. Have a nice day and posting.

Yes, I have also learned by watching it done professionally. Now, I have no problems copying the same moves they use.
