Do you skip on your breakfast meal?If not what food you eat?

They say breakfast is the important meal of the day? But how about those who dieting and feels like skipping it? I am not into diet, :) but I only have coffee in the morning. Is it not bad for my health? I don't eat anything solid, for I am not used to.:( It's like I feel like threw. :(

No, I never skip breakfast. If I wake up really early and there's nothing to eat, I'll just have a granola bar. But normally, we have bread for breakfast. My brothers even have rice, which s an asian thing. I don't skip on breakfast because I don't think it'll help me lose weight. Plus, it'll just make me very hungry by lunch.

Thank you. I guess it will be my new year's resolution, fried rice with coffe. Yum! But not early in the morning. :(( Maybe 9:30 or a brunch? Wa!

me too i usually have coffee or tea in morning cause i used to go to my college by 7:30
so at that time i cant take any solid food...........

I skip breakfast all the time. I sleep late at night and so i wake late in the morning. If i'll take my breakfast, i will still be full come lunch so i'm intentionally skipping my breakfast to make way for lunch. Besides, i get stomach cramps everytime i eat in the morning because i don't feel good about it. I don't think it's bad to drink coffee without eating anything solid as long as you eat something soon after drinking, let's just hope it won't give you loose bowel movement or something. Eat something like a bread or something.

Hi modstar! Thanks for the advice, I have bread here now, and starts eating it. lol. At least slowly, have to change for it really. My first day of changing menu lol.

You are right. Breakfast is supposed to be the most important meal of the day but most of us tend to take breakfast as the least cared for which is wrong. If you are on a diet have a full breakfast. Have a light lunch and very light dinner? Why is this? Because in the morning we work and we need the energy for working. At night time we don't need too much food because it is time to go to bed and sleep which doesn't need much energy. But most of us take dinner as the most especial meal where we have every food that we want to eat.
I said that but i too often skip breakfast. I think the problem here is, if we just woke up we don't feel like eating at all. Instead we take only coffee which makes it worse for our health. The best thing to do is have at least light breakfast of cereal or noodles or bread with juice but taking juice in the morning is also not good if you aren't used to it. It makes the stomach sour and feels bad.
Anyway, if you really are watching your diet, do what I said in the first paragraph.

Hello Masmasika. I tried juice, but I don't feel to drink anything that is not hot. I really love coffee. :( I tried to drink milk in the morning, and forget coffee, but that only took for one week. So I stop drinking milk now :) I am back to coffee again. I feel addicted. :(

yep breaki is the most important meal of the day lol...but when with so much things to do during the day as well as trying to stay healthy, and keeping a good body it seems right to skip it. Lol..but when you do I guess there are more negative sides to it. Anywho, yep coffee is bad coz it has caffeine, I use to drink 5 cups of coffee during the day to keep me going, now its cold water. As for breakfast - its yoghurt. Lol..It keeps me fuller for longer, has calcium, fruit, vitamins etc... so it is healthy, cheap (you can get a 6 pack which will last 6 days of the week saying that you eat it ONLY for breaki. lol), and it only take 2 minutes to eat (if you're a fast eater like me). You don't have to wait for a toaster, or a kettle, or take a bowl, spoon and milk out and pour...you just rip the top off and eat it. ;)

lol imaho. I tried yoghurt but not my thing :P lol. And not in the morning. I don;t like the taste. Maybe because its a pure yoghurt.

i try to eat a very heavy breakfast especially when i have duty in the hospital. i usually eat rice, a piece of meat/ chicken,pork or beef, a piece of fruit like a banana and a hot cup of chocolate:) it depends on what you're used to. i know someone who just eat a piece of fruit for breakfast. She's not used to eating bread or rice. Others just drink a cup of coffee like you or hot chocolate.

I never skip breakfast because i love the feeling of being satisfied with the food that i eat especially in the morning. I am less grumpy, and breakfasts are a way for me to meditate if im alone or bond with my family when we eat together.
I heard that there is a study on school kids that those who do not eat their breakfasts are the ones who does poorly in class. so i guess the same goes with us adults. Whenever i eat in the morning, i feel contented and im not grumpy.
Really? You feel like you throw up in the morning? Anyways, each and every person has their own habits especially with meals. Maybe coffee is enough to satisfy you as much as a full meal with egg and iced milo satisfies me. But try to add something healthier to your diet like fruit or pancakes.

Back in the day i never ate breakfast (back in high school) was pretty dumb because i think it messed up my weight , and i felt hungry and stuff . Now i will eat breakfast something light like oatmeal , english muffin , and fruit . cant start my day without coffee either , and that is a must , helps push me hehe.

This is one meal that I never miss! To miss breakfast would be an absolute disaster! I stick to the same breakfast everyday so what do I have? Eggs, eggs and more eggs! I have two eggs every morning with two slices of toast covered in strawberry jam oh and let's not forget the hot mug of tea, can really help on a cold winter's morning! You really should have something to eat at breakfast, you don't need to go to the extreams that I do, perhaps a bowl of serial or something. I am so used to having breakfast now that I cannot even contemplate missing breakfast. Happy eating and happy Christmas. Andrew

I am also not into diet but because I had a hard time before when I was still studying, I often skip breakfast because it causes my stomach to feel pain like having an LBM (Lose Bowel Movement). It makes the situation harder for me especially when I reach school and the office at times that I take a breakfast. A cup of coffee will do for me. I also am not used to eating breakfast and it has no affected my mental and physical aspects when I was growing up.

Hello amazing heart, Yes, it is true that breakfast is really important..I always start my morning with something fresh, like fruit juices, say combination of mango, papaya, sometimes apples with carrots a spoon of olive oil with spoon of honey or sometimes without honey if I have none, blend it together with some water. Then follows my breakfacts after 30 min. Coffee is not that bad if you make it swiss type,say morenonfat milk in it no cream... You need always protein to start the day and if you are running out of budget, try to ship to tokwa cook it lean or fry it with golden oil,with salad bowl, doing it will help you to maintain your sugar level and you don't get easily hungry, but energetic...

hello amazingheart,
I always eat something for my breakfast. If I don't eat my regular meal on my breakfast, at least I eat something like cereals or instant noodles for that matter, that is if I'm already late.
But if I have enough time I prefer to eat rice or fried rice with egg, hotdog, sausage or nuggets for that matter. It makes me on the go.

i don't need to intentionally skip breakfast.
by the time i awake from my sleep, it's way past breakfast and i end up eating brunch. a combination of lunch and breakfast. and normally, i'd just eat either a fruit or 2 pieces of toast.
but they say that if you're dieting, one should eat a heavy breakfast to kick start the day and eat a light dinner. either that or eat 6 small meals a day.

i always eat breakfast in the morning as it is the most important meal of the day, i only have cereal tho. Also i know people who dont eat cereal and they are much larger than people who do eat cereal so i dont think skipping breakfast helps with diets.

coffee and bread is my breakfast.before this i also same as u cant used to have breakfast in the early morning but later on i try to eat little bit and little bit for some period,then,after certain period ia already get use to have brealfast and wont feel like to vomit~
