It isn't too bad today, though we're blanketed in snow. But the past several days have been frigid (about the same temp and windchill factor as yours) And yesterday, our pipes froze. Had to have an additional box heater on for half a day before the water started flowing.

No basement, but a 2-story house. It's OK now, had to have the heater on for several hours that day, and we had water again. Now we have that box heater on at night to keep from re-living that day. This week doesn't look like it's gonna be as bad, despite the 2-foot snow that fell last night. Btw, just wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. (Have sent greetings out to all my friends here, and you're a new one). God bless!

Sounds about right. That is what it is up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Right now on my weather thing it says minus 11 f. but it sure was not like that this morning, nor in the afternoon. It felt more like minus 30. Of course, we are a little bit north of you, but it was cold. And all the snow drifted over our sidewalk, so I had to shovel it again. Yes I can beat you.

Bbbbrrrrr chilly it is dear friend. VVVeeeeeerrrrryyyyy CCCCCoooollllddd it is here. We are faced with minus 40 minus 44 with the wind chill. Cars didn't want to start, schools were cancelled because our buses wouldn't run and no one went anywhere. My next heating bill will be a dandy no doubt.

Nope, I can't beat it, because schools would be closed if the temp was 25 below with wind chill. The temperature right now at almost 7am in Central, NY is about 11F and I can't find the wind chill online, sorry. There is a 2 hour delay today, yippee for me, lol.

Yay!! She's back! I'm just taking a little break here from Christmas preparations. We are actually going to have our Christmas at home here with the kids tonight. With the odd weather going on we are choosing to drive to our parents tomorrow morning (a day earlier than planned) The hubby has the week off so we are flexible and are trying to work around the bad weather that's predicted. Had a dickens of a time getting a place to board our dog and a substitute for our son's paper route. Think we're all set now. I'm probably running out yet tonight to get a few more gifts. Merry, merry Christmas to you!!!heidi

rocketj1, That is indeed Very Cold and I suppose it will be lots of warm clothings and heater to consider now. Do take care. At where I am it is minus 2 to 6 and cloudy. It has not snowed yet and I hope they would not have an epidemic snowstorm like earlier this year. Take care and compliments of the season.

Nope, I can't beat that. The coldest winter I ever spent was in the Black Hills of South Dakota. There it started snowing in October and didn't stop until late March. When the snow flurries started the next winter we were packed up and heading south.
