IE 7 freezes when opening link in new tab

Very often when I try to open a link in a new tab my computer will freeze. Does anyone have any tips?

try to check your cpu and memory usage capability. why wont you try to used other browser. and try to upgrade or update your ie7. thats all.

Hi,
this may occur if your pc is very low on resources for memory allocation.
Maybe you only have 256mb of RAM, maybe you have 5 IE browsers already open.
Try freeing up some memory, people should watch their memory usage like watching a fuel gauge on a car. If it runs out, it will stop.
If it freezes, try the Ctrl-Alt-Del three keys at the same time, to bring up the Windows Task Manager, have a look at that, you can shut down IE in here as well if it is jammed.

i think it may be due to some cookies try to remove those cookies with the help of the browser .or it may be due to the some of the viruses .if it is due to the virus then remove it using a anti virus but most often this is due to the cookies . when ever you have completed the day try to delete these cookies as it will not slow down your browser
