HEY I'm New in this site and I BADLY NEEDED HELP!

I need somebody to assist me in here. I don't know how some tools in this site works. I find this so confusing. There are lots of buttons and icons which makes my mind so messed up. I really wanted to find friends in here but sadly I don't know how to locate them (using this site). I hope I would be able to find, add and meet new aquaintances, I hope you could help me! THANK YOU!!!
