So it's the moviegoing time of year around the Holidays. I know my family goes to an afternoon movie on Christmas Eve every year. There are alot of movies opening this week. Are you planning on catching any? Bedtime Stories? Curious Case of Benjamin Button? Marley and Me? Valkyrie? 7 Pounds? Tale of Despereaux? Yes Man? The Day the Earth Stood Still?

The Spirit most definitely. I already saw "The Day the Earth Stood Still," and I'm waiting for it to open at the IMAX here. 7 Pounds, Tale of Despereaux, and Yes Man are already showing here, the latter two are on my list. I am still debating on Doubt and 7 Pounds. I'm not really into drama unless there's some SciFi angle to it.

Well, the story is a bit different from the original, and as a story it does pale from the original. So if you are a fan of the 1951 original, you may be disappointed. The effects are adequate, and it is that I would like to see the IMAX version.

How was The Day the Earth Stood Still? It's one of our "potentials". I think it looks pretty good, but it didnt get the greatest reviews around here.

I'm really wanting to see The Spirit and Seven Pounds. My mom has been hinting at Marley and Me but it doesn't look at all interesting to me. I don't like those kinds of movies (Beethoven, Homeward Bound, AirBud....the "extraordinary pet" genre). I haven't been able to decide how I feel about the Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It looks a little strange.

I think Marley and Me will be pretty good, but I dont want to see it at the theatre I think. I'll wait for cable on that one. I'd like to see more about Benjamin Button as it looks interesting. We havent made our mind up as of yet which movie to see.

We ended up seeing the Curious Case of Banjamin Button. I think it was pretty good. Not a ton of action, but a very good story that definitely makes you think. I would definitely recommend it if anyone is looking for a movie over the next week or so.

I wil see if i have time off and if a grandchild wants to go then i will take it from there on Tale of Despereaux...or Bedtime Stories..

Saw 4 Christmases tonite and it was good. Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn make a good couple and are quite funny together. Make sure you check it out when it comes to cable.
