I have read an article in one of the updates at Paypal about this fraud or scam emails.... It is a tricky fraud email when you received such email.... I actually received one of that fraud email but I think twice because I have the information provided by the Paypal update on it..... So just like Paypal said if you received such fraud email forward immediately to Paypal email provided for that case.... The email is on Paypal just get it to them coz I forgot that email. lol..... About that fraud email I received.... Well just like Paypal said to their updates.... -"A fraud email has none of your name on it.... Your name is not specified on the email you received"... --- A real Paypal email has your name on it..... -And this is most important: In a fraud email there's a link where you provide all your information including your password on a BOGUS webpage.... And the link was not a certified Paypal webpage.... that's all... for more informations just go to your Paypal page and read this article or update regarding Fraud or scam Emails....

It depends on if the sellers are scammers and not paypal themselves. An example would be ebay and buying from a seller who does not have a past reputation for being an honest seller. Ebay shows sellers reviews from the people that purchased from them. So if a ebay seller does not have a good reputation or not alot of feedback history from buyers than I would not buy from them.

Nothing is really safe when it comes to the internet or dong something online. The only things that we can do is to minimize our chance of being the victim and to invest on proper protection on our computer. The other thing to watch out is try not to do any online transaction while you are connecting to the internet via public places such as cafe, internet kiosk or any other free public area as these are the favorite places where hackers are looking for their victims by taking advantage of the low security on the free public internet access. I normally wait until I am home before doing any online transaction especially banking stuffs. At the same time, I normally do not even open my mails if I do not need to when I am at public places as our mails are linked to online sites such as PayPal... In my opinion PayPal is safe for as long as we take the necessary precautions when accessing it so that our confidential information do not fall into the wrong hands. Cheers!
