Gadgets and litlle pleasures of life

What are the ways in which gadgets and technology make your life easier and more enjoyable? Not counting basic everyday stuff like TV or cell phones or internet?
I personally like sharing screen between different computers in my household when I'm particularly eager to download that torrent(Psst!..) or using remote controls on stereo system. Comes in very handy when you're cooking and your arms have batter up to elbows.. What would be nice is a remote starter for my car-it's 15 degrees outside and that makes life a bit uncomfortable. But I just can't bear the thought of spending $ 300 on such a toy.
What about you? What are you proud of,when do you congratulate yourself on being particularly sneaky?

my car came with a starter so i was glad for that! i had always wanted one but didn't have the money to pay for it. now i have it and didn't have to get it installed. i love it, especially with my two boys. it is nice and warm when i get in! i would definitely die if i didn't have my remote control for the t.v! i am so lazy. lol i just bought myself a nintendo ds with the money i will get for christmas and i am so addicted to it already! lol technology is for sure a great thing, but i guess it can get out of hand, too- like those who cannot live without their cell phones! lol

lol... luckily my boys are too little for that yet- 3 and 1. we did get the oldest a vsmile. and i was lucky enough to get the ds cheap on amazon! :)
