How hard is it for emigrants to leave their native country ? I am an emigrant and sometimes I am homesick, my thoughts are back in my beautiful country, at my parents, my friends, it is so hard, but I can't do anything to have them here (yet)

Hello Lili. I think that it takes time to get one adjusted in a new place, especially in a foreign country whose cultures and customs are so different from those of her or his own country. Well, I have moved from my hometown in the south to the east of China to work. It took quite some time to get used to the life and work in the new place. Now I have no problem with my life and work in the new place any more. Instead I love it very much. Take care.

I'm from another country and I have no relatives here but I feel just fine, been a few years and I adapted. Of course,I wish air travel wasn't that expensive, then I'd go to see them every season!

I used to work at a community college and many of my employees were originally from other countries so, yes, I can imagine how hard it is for them to be away from family and familiar things because I've seen their pain. I don't know if I could do it personally. It's hard enough for me to have part of my family living 1,000 away in the same country...I don't think I could take it if an entire ocean separated us.
