At first I would be devastated, but then I would live my life to the fullest.

First of all I would like to find out what my illness was and would like to know if it is hereditary, for my kids sake. If it was a hereditary illness, that would mean that the chances of my kids getting it would be greater for them than for any other person.
Then I would spend as much quality time with them, which I already do, for the time I would have left.
