Message Through Others

I believe God works through people. Not in the way where someone would tell me they had a message for me from God though! Beware of false prophets. I think sometimes God has to go through other people to get to us. Example: A man is drowning in the sea and a boat comes by to pick him up. He tells the boat to go on that he's waiting for the Lord to save him. This happens 3 more times and finally the man drowns. When he gets to heaven he asks the Lord why he did not save him as he had been obedient and faithful his whole life. The Lord tells him...My dear son, I sent 4 boats, what more did you want. The whole point being, that we have to learn to listen. Sometimes it will come through people, sometimes it will be in a verse in the Bible that you read 100 times before and now, all of a sudden you finally realize what it truly means...It's a revelation! You must always weigh what you hear and read against scripture! Don't take for granted that what you hear or read is true! See what God has to say about it! Always remember to pray and ask for his guidance and wisdom... The Holy Spirit is Always with us! He is our teacher and guide! Rhonda

God doesnt do any mistakes or do wrong to others,thats not a bad thing to teach us a message through others..only through others you have been getting gods message and not by yourself..he cannot come directly to you and give a message so he as disguise sends you a message through someone who is very close to you but its upto you whether to take it or not..if you take it its for your good,if you are leaving it by saying reasons like this then nothing is going to happen.. happy Mylotting..

Wrong? No. God can do no wrong. When we ask God for answers, He can say, "yes" "no" or "wait". He can give us our answers through leading us to Scripture, through a message from a pastor, even from something a friend or family member tells us.

Sure, He usually does it through dreams and visions. Anyone can have a dream or vision. You don't have to be a prophet.

It is both wrong and right. This is because the message can be from both god and satan. Don't you know about the bible saying that even the devil can come in the angels attire. So if somebody says that he \she has a message for you, please think about it many times. Don't jump into anything on the instant itself. Sometimes we may get messages from god through some actons done by others also. God has many ways to talk to us. It all depends on how we recieve that matters the most.

i don't think it's wrong. sometimes maybea a little annoying but not wrong. we had a special guest speaker one night at out church and she prophesied over a few people in the church. i'd been asking god what i was supposed to do with life. i wasn't in school yet because i couldn't decide what to do. i knew what i wanted to do but not what he wanted. i teach the juniors at my church and thought that may be just it. but after that service while i was cleaning up the back room from the kids, she came back there and said she needed to tell me something. "you're struggling to find where you belong. you made the right choice by asking me about it instead of going your own way. and here's your answer. you will go into marketplace ministry. you don't know what that is right now but you will be the one of the top people in that area. you ask, 'does it involve music?' and yes it does. more than you know. you will be the one reaching people that none of the others can. you will bring others who have struggled to me when others can't get through to them." after she said that to me i asked my pastor about what marketplace mimistry was. he said basically i won't be going door to door or anything. i'll just be getting the people i see and work with everyday to know god. when i sat down that night i realized that i was to major in music and become a teacher. so many young people struggle and they feel so alone. music and God are the two things that got me through all of my rough times. this is my chance to help them. i wouldn't have known what to do if god hadn't spoken through her.

God can give us message through several methods. WE cannot bound him to speak to us the way we want to us. He can speak to us through other people, through news, or through another incident that happen in other s people lives.

not wrong. But I would really examine what kind of message is being given to me. if one comes and says that god told me to marry you, then I would ask questions to figure out whether it's really from Him or not.

I think its okay, he is almighty, its like a humble act and good as letting others to be part of his Plan in different ways... Well, here we are talking about one of those!

Why would it be?

God never do wrong. Some times we don't know if we got message from other ppl, & the true that God want talk with us. Only our heart can see that message from God or not.

Most definitely not wrong! I think scripture says there are several different offices or positions within the body of Christ. He sets them in according to his will and according to each person's ability. It is like being a classroom, one student may be able to grasp hold 100 percent of the subject, another student may be able to get 50 percent. The teacher soon learns which student is a 100 percent student and which is 50 percent and will often give greater responsibility or assignments to the one that is able to handle more. I believe our jobs as christians are like this. Whatever is our ability and whatever is the Lord's need is how we all function with one another. To one may be given the gift of knowledge, to another the gift of prophysy, to another a ministry. All these are set into the church and the body of Christ for the edification of the body of Christ. Edification means to stimulate to greater heights of spirituality and a closer walk to God. So he may reveal something to someone for someone else for the purose of trying to get that person more in line with his salvation and a closer walk to Christ and he can also reveal things through other people that just tells them of their future or a condition of their heart.
