My husband is near perfect Geek! He simply doesn't talk..won't open his heart out or share his thoughts, fears, doubts, dreams, hopes..which I feel is extra important for developing, grounding and enriching a relationship. I have tried coaxing him to speak in several ways like sharing my thoughts, something I heard at office or from a friend, I have even tried getting angry, not talking at all for days..shouting..blasting...BUT HE IS STILL THE SAME ! :(
Have any of you been in a similar situation? or know someone who has been? In any case, kindly share some tips, advice, solutions, thoughts, feelings on this as I am desperate to make this relationship work out!

Some men just don't talk. I think a lot of times that is one way that men are different than women. We like to talk and get everything out in the open and then figure it out. Men are the opposite. They have to work it all out in there head, and until they get it worked out, they just don't talk.
Also, consider the opposite. Have you ever been around someone who talks way too much. And is extremely emotional, who goes from one extreme to the other. Sometimes it may not be so bad to let them just work it out in their head, considering the other options.
This can be a really hard time of year, good luck to you!

yes! I ahve come aross some men who talk way too much..are extremely bouncy and cheerful and flirtatious...even to the point of getting irritating and when I think about this contrasting category of men, I am sure I like my guy better and would prefer him that ways rather than becoming a Chatter Box!However, the problem is...even after sharing problems..he doesn't take the tiem to reflect on them or act on them...those things usually remain unresolved for a long time making me depressed time and again and wondering if I am alone in this relationship...That kind of leaves me feeling unappreciated and insecure. I dont want to feel like that...hence seeking for some creative solutions to make him talk!
