Here is a recnt shot of my house all lit up for the Holidays. This newly fallen snow makes this scene so festive looking. One can even see my tree in the window right in the center of the two tree branches in this shot. I have lighhts lined up all along the edge of my front lawn as some are visible in this photo. My garage has a set of icicle lights and other lights along the eave as well. Then my office also has lights in it's window. Does this bring forth some Holiday Spirit in you at all? Some have been missing it and I hope this helps at least a little bit for those.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I kid you not, nothing is a bigger killer of the holiday spirit than having to be around my brother as much as I do when family is in town...
I want to see my sister, but really, must my bro be a PITA when I'm around. Is it me or is it stress or what?

My Holiday spirits keep going up then down and up and down. Our plans have been changed for Christmas Day and my daughter and grandson won't be here, not until Saturday the 27th. It is going to warm up also and I don't like that at all, not for Christmas. You and your holiday spirit sure does come through and for that I Thank You.

Bmmer.
Luckily my kids are all close to my house so even with bad weather they'll make it here. It's all happening Christmas Eve for us. I am having a huge lasgna dinner with garlic bread then we all open the gifts. My daughter and her family are heading up North early the 25th. You're very welcomed as well. HO HO HO!!!

Yes, my oldest daughter and her 4 kids live here close but they still aren't speaking to us. Our son is with us and our youngest is not able to come until later because her husband is working in Lousiania right now and won't be home until around 1am Christmas morning and will just have a couple of days off then has to head back so we won't get to have him here for Christmas this year either. At least my daughter and grandson will be coming, better late than never.

Here's a side view that's closer for you. It is really easy now days to hang lights etc. They have clips and all that hang onto items of the house and or roof making it as simple as candy to do. Give it a shot one year. Neighbors will be surprised and love it I am sure.

Hi GRANDPA BOB,
You know, you can make it into a Christmas cards, that is so beautiful, I just have to stare at it for a long time, you must have taken a long time to do all those lights but I'm sure it was all worth it, I love it.

It usually takes me a full day to puit up all my lights etc.
But well worth it once the snow falls and they get turned on.

Not o offend, but holiday decorations do nothing for me spirit wise. I think they look pretty and all. The meaning of the holiday itself and knowing I get to spend time with my family is what gets me in the holiday spirit mood.

My lights werent realy up - i had one string of solar lights up but the rest i didnt get up because my dad took them down last year and borrowed my ladder and i never got it back. (plus im scared of the ladder so i wasnt too inclined) I do however have lots of decorations in my house. I like christmas decorations.

The house looks truly beautiful, and it's sad Christmas is over and soon the decorations will be coming down. Your lovely snowy photos have given me lots of holiday spirit over the last few weeks - even though we have winter in the middle of the year here in Australia! Thank you for all the pics, GB - they've been lovely!

Happy Holidays GrandPaBob, you really brings out the Christmas spirit in anyone that do not have it. Your picture is nice and comforting for a lost unspirited soul at Christmas time. I know your grand children really enjoy coming to your house and enjoying your Christmas spirit and decorations. I can see you are just as excited as they are.
Happy MyLotting.

I'm full of holiday spirit. The ham is ow out of the freezer to be cooked tomorrow. The turkey is defrosting in the fridge and the ponsettias outside of my office are in full bloom. They are our Christmas Flowers. My daughter arrived from N.C. yesterday and the son in the U.K. will arrive early in January. Having three children with me out of four meanss that I am doing very o.k. Blessings

I think christmas is such a funny time of the year, I look forward to it every year then as soon as it gets here it is like I feel nothing! I am really struggling to get the spirit again this year, it just does not feel like christmas at all it is very strange.
