Do you think Management THEORY interesting and useful?

I have just read some materials on management theory these days in the library.I find it very useful and interesting,in certain levels similar to psychology,which is also interesting and useful .Even if we would never be managers in the futre,we can apply the theory of it to manageme ourselves,coz we,at most cases,are like lazy staffs discribed in Theory X(namely,employees dislike work and whenever possible,will attempt to avoid it) Do you agree?
