Whats up for christmas and new year?

I am at lose as to what to prepare. I want something new. Spaghetti, Macaroni Salad, Fruit Salad, Ham, Cake are always present during this occasions. I want to prepare something new but not very expensive. Can you help?

i'm making lasagna for christmas eve. we'll have a salad & i'm going to make broccoli cornbread to go w/it & desserts.
