Cat Pee

My cat who is about two years old I would say...will not stop peeing on my things. He's been fixed, and we took him to the vet to see if there was something wrong with him, and he checked out just fine. He only ever really pees on my things, like he's trying to take ownership of me. The vet said to try a second litter box, and we thought it was working until he started to pee on my clothes and even on the diaper bag. He's not spraying them, he actually gets on them and fully pees on things. Has anyone gone through something like this, and know how to get him to stop?

That's unusual for a cat to do that unless it had maybe a bladder infection perhaps but you mentioned that you've already taken him to the vet. My mom's cat which isn't around anymore, use to pee in my best friend's school bag and on her jacket when she came over and she didn't have any pets. You should try a second litter box or try changing the litter that you're using because maybe the cat doesn't like it?
Good luck with that and merry christmas

My female cat does the same thing. She actually got into my granddaughter's overnight bag and peed on all her clothes. We have a folded towel on the kitchen floor that she likes to lay on, but after awhile she ends up peeing on it. I wonder if it might be the smell of the person they are closest to because she usually only pees on my stuff.

You need to retrain him to use his litter box. Confine him in a small room like a bathroom with a litter box and toys, food and water. Don't put the food and water too near the litter box. Keep him there until he pees in his box 100% of the time.
When you let him out, try to keep an eye on him. Pick him up and put him in the litter box several times a day. Keep your clothes out of his reach. He won't pee on them if he can't get to them.
You might want to try Feliway, a pheromone that simulates marking. Spray it around the areas he goes.
Good luck.

I noticed you said he pees on the diaper bag. Was he your baby before? If so he is marking your things as being his territory. Have you tried changing the type of litter you use? Check at a pet store, there are a variety of products that are supposed to aid in traning. Also make sure you completely get rid of any urine where he has gone, if not he will keep returning to that spot.
