Anyone have an Epidural during birth?

I was aprehensive of having one with my first child but then did it and then for my second child I had the anethesioligist waiting for me! ha ha ha

No, never. I can't imagine not feeling the contractions, urge to push, my baby's descent and delivery. I've given birth three times at home with midwives, all natural.

Wow thats so brave. You go girl! Were you ever worried that something might happen and you wouldn't be at the hospital?

Yes I had an epidural with both my kids. The first time it was fine and worked great. My second baby came so fast that when they gave me the epidural it didn't start working until after I had him. It wasn't too bad though.

OMG! Thats sucks! It's nice your labor was fast but nothin' like being all numbed up after the fact.

I did and I would do it again in a heartbeat. It didn't hurt my child, it made me more relaxed during labor so I could focus and push.

i had one but i still felt everything.. the only thing i couldn't feel were my legs so next time i'm not having on! plus the anethesioligist couldn't get the neddle in my back! she stuck me 8 times before she finally got the neddle in!

OMG! That's terrible! I can't imagine. It worked well with me both times, thankfully! I'd like more kids and think I'd get it again.
