That One Messy Burrito

I was having my eyes looked at, go the diluted treatment, so since it was near noon, I decided to go to the Food Court to get something to eat. I had about eight dollars in small change and really I wanted Chinese, but the line up was so long, I decide to go to Taco Time and get a bean burrito since it was one of those recommended on Weight Watchers to be low in points. Well even though they offer whole wheat burritos wrappings, I plain forgot to order it, so I gets a rather sloppy burrito. I wish I had ordered the Chinese.
So does being in a long line up prevent you from ordering what you like so you go to the place with the shortest line up to order something else? And do you like me, wish you had been in the long line up?

I'm so glad that you got to go to get your eyes seen to. I do hope that it went well. I don't do waiting very well. I usually have a book in my bag to read whilst lining up. I have gone in the shortest line when in the States but I cannotr remembe being disappointed.
Out here though, my biggest annoyance is when you are in a fast food palce and the line is long, so you wait patiently and eventually ther is only one person in front of you.
Now, this person has been in line for maybe 20 minutes and when it is his turn he still HAS NOT MADE UP HIS MIND WHAT TO ORDER. This really gets to me. I then visualize stoning him with frozen french fries or something. lol.
"If I get a #4 then can I get a coffee with that ir do I have to have a soda? Well, I really just wanted a sandwich so can I pay less than for a meal deal? What kind of sandwiches are available then?
They have had 20 minutes to work out what they want to eat so why hold up the line for another 10 minutes? Blessings my friend.

I have had it happen to me so many times I cannot count. And it was not just at the food counter, it was at the grocer's. There was this woman who had to find her credit card, and then she wanted something put away, so the cashier had to make two receipts. And she took the things out one at a time, while also getting a gift card for someone else, her membership card verified, etc. Well she had an excuse for everything and we got in that line because it was the shortest.

It is so annoying. If people are in lines then they should know excactly what they want and order quickly so that the line cn move. I believe it is training from childhood. From children, we were taught to have our pennies ready when we got on the bus to pay the bus conductor and it was conbsidered good manners to try and give me the exact fare so he didn't have to make change and hold up the line of people waiting to board the bus.
Not many people care about being considerate to other peole in the line anymore. Blessings

I have absolutely no patience. I do not even like standing in ques and the only time I will wait is if the family is altogether and there is a place where we can seat, but at the Food Court, the seats are so crowded. I am still hungry though so I switch to another line up.

Oh yes. Many a time have I opted for the shorter line thinking I'd find something just as good that I would have from the place I really wanted to eat at. And then I wish I had been more patient and waited out the longer line. I think it is something I need to work on. : )

You're luck me. I cannot stand waiting in line, and I really love Chinese food. Next time, I'll wait.

I do wait in a long line when that's what I want to eat. Or if I know the place has a good reputation for good food. I don't like bean burrito too much. I prefer chicken or pork burrito, but it costs more money, you know? I'm in the mood for Chinese right now, heehe. You're making me hungry! What else did you get with the burrito? Why was it so messy? Have a nice day.

Everybody there wanted Chinese so that was why the line was so long. I think they put too much sauce and added sour cream to the mix, and did not put in enough beans. So next time I will wait at the long line up. I love Chinese.

I have had to go elsewhere to eat when the place I chose was packed or had long lines. I get my mouth watering set on one place so the other place is usually a let down for my mouth and taste buds and I am not satisfied when I do that because I didn't get what I wanted. Second choices can sometimes be okay, but it doesn't stop you wishing that you could have had your first choice first.

Well it depends on how much I want the food and if I am in a hurry..If I really want a certain food and in no hurry, I would go to the long line..but that is very rare, so most of the time I do go to the shortest line, missing out on a treat I want..:(

I have done something similar many times. Sometimes I am in the mood for something but I don't have time or I am too impatient to wait in line, so I get something else. Most of the time that something else does not end up being nearly as good as the something I wish I would have gotten. Chinese sounds good to me even right now at almost midnight.
