I am staring at my Christmas Tree, it was my fiancee who decorated it, it was red and blue. Christmas is kind a lonely when you stare at people faces you can sense that there not happy. Because maybe the hardship of life now. Everything is so expensive, and a lot of people was lay of, or don't have a job until now. Are you happy even you have a Christmas tree, and seeing people faces that is sad. I know life has still has to go on. Christmas is still Christmas, and it's only once a year! Merry Christmas to all of you! God bless us all!

Our Christmas tree is frigin pathetic, it looks like the tree from the Peanuts Christmas special, in fact we even named it Charlie Brown. The poor thing is even less attractive dur to the fact that we have a 2 year old boy who is incapable of passing by a shiny object without picking it up and taking it to his secret hiding place. What that means is that our tree has no decorations below the two foot mark, since it is only a 5 foot tree to begin with it looks a little odd. We love our little tree though because we decorated it together as a family, with love and togetherness. We are not a rich family by any means and truth be told we really cant even afford to buy presents for everyone on our list but our tree still stands and represents our familys love, and thats what Christmas is about to me.

We are not Christians and my city Calcutta is not a Christian city. But you just have to be here during this time to see and feel how we all celebrate Christmas. Since we don’t have any real Christmas tree (its not a native of India), all the shops are overflowing with decorative Christmas trees and Santa Claus dolls. From children to adults, the enthusiasm is just too infectious. The cake shops are overflowing too. I’ll be visiting the shops with my son this evening to get my Christmas tree and cakes.

I haven't decorated it yet, we always do it on Christmas eve, so probably tonight me and my family are gonna get it done :)
I don't know where you see people's faces are sad... Where do you live, by the way?
Here, most people are to busy rushing to get their shopping done, that they don't even have an expression on their face :) They're just distracted and some indiferent. But sad... no actually I haven't noticed any sad people here. Maybe only those that have reasons to... like homeless kids. But even they seemed to be happier than they are usually... :|
Yes, for some there are hard times, but if you know how to look at them you can overcome everything :)

Uhm. I'm okay when I have a Christmas tree. My mom puts it up and decorates it. We also have small Christmas trees in each room. It does set the Christmasy mood.

We don't have our tree up this year because we don't have the Christmas spirit however I still want to put my manger scene out because after all, it is Christ's birthday and I want to acknowledge that at least. It's just been a hard hard year for me and my family because my mom had a really bad stroke and my husband's mom passed away. Hopefully next year will be better. Merry Christmas!

Yes I do have a Christmas tree at my house. In fact I have one 6 foot and two tiny ones. One tiny one is in my sons room fully decortated with lights and the other is in my kitchen window fully decorated with lights. Of course the small tree has mini decorations. My husband helped to shape the tree and my son and I decorated it as we sang along with the radio to Christmas carols.
This year is a bit of a sad Christmas for many of us. My family is missing two very special people this year my aunt and my grandmother both lost in April and December of last year. The state of the economy has also limited our budget to buy a lot of gifts for the family. We have all however managed to buy for the one that really matters my young son. People are sad at Christmas especially this year. Many are without jobs and fear losing their homes or being able to feed and clothe their family much less buy gifts this holiday season.
The important thing to remember about Christmas is not how much you spend on gifts but how much love, care and time you show your family. Christians believe Christmas is the day to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Take comfort in His will and plan. Try to enjoy the holidays this year and Merry Christmas.
