What are you looking forward to in 2009?

We have had a rough year what with losing my job at the end of October - that has presented us with some challenges. There is gloom and doom about the economic situation and new work will be hard to come by.
However, my oldest daughter is going to convert us into grandparents in March and that is certainly one of the high spots of the last few years as far as we are concerned. The coming event sort of puts things into perspective and it doesn't do to worry too much or be gloomy.
Also we have booked a vacation in Cornwall in September and we will be going come hell or high water!
Have you any plans for the New Year?

As and when a new year is about to start we plan out a lot of things. Everywhere in the air, the talks are revolving around resolutions etc. But everythings fades out as the year progresses. It is really difficult to expect anything from the new year. It is you and your attitude which is going to change your life.

Haha, congratuations for becoming grandparents soon. I've almost felt disappointed with the coming 2009. 2008 is a year that makes me sad. I just graduated this year and was full of hope for future. But because of the economic recession, many graduates cannot find jobs as me. we're worrying about this. I even lose the confidence for 2009.

I'm sorry about you losing your job. But I hope things will be better for you in the New Year! Hope you have fun in Cornwall.
I'm looking forward to entering high school in 2009. Also, in the summer, we are going to China to visit our relatives. I haven't seen them in almost 5 years, so I'm pretty excited. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Congratulations for become grandparents! I bet that's really exciting! I always just continue to live my life. So I treat every year same. The difference is I would meet more people, more exciting events and many more surprises! No matter what I've encountered, I'm still looking forward to the next year. I still I hope I can get back to China in summer 09.

I'd like to see a 180-degree turn in my health and circumstances. As I've been facing this situation for some time, I'm hoping and praying 2009 would turn out to be better than years previous, despite all the economic gloom and doom forecasted in recent days. Got many things planned on hold till the above are taken care of.

I'm looking forward to my husband finding a job in his profession. He lost his job last summer, and it's taking him a while to get back to him because of his driving record. I think this coming summer would be the earliest that he could do anything. It's just a matter of making the money work until then, whether it's unemployment or he finds a job to make due with until then.
Other than that, I'm looking forward to getting rid of some of our debt. By the end of next year, we should have all of our doctor bills paid off, and one of our vehicles. If we're lucky, maybe one of our credit cards.

I'm looking forward to moving back to my home state in 2009. I've already bought a house there and its under renovation now. Many of my things have been shipped up there and are in storage waiting for me. So as soon as this place sells I'll be on my way. I'm excited by the prospect because I'll be just blocks away from my Dad, and only a couple of hours from my son and grandchildren. I'm also hoping I can find a job I can do from home, since I can't work outside the home. Money is a worry. But hopefully my guy can get a job there, and maybe I can as well to help out.

I am getting married is 2009, and the wedding and the honeymoon are two of the things that I really look forward to in 2009. We are trying to save up some money at the moment so the next couple of months will be pretty hard as we have taken some extra jobs etc, but it is worth it. Another big event for me is the exhibition of my paintings which will take place in February. I am really nervous, but I hope that it will become a succes.

You certainly do have something wonderful to look forward to in 2009! A new life in Springtime, and a beautiful Autumn visit to Cornwall, will make it a memorable year, regardless of the economic situation.
I am actually feeling quite excited about 2009, without having any definite plans. I do have some personal goals to reach, and I look forward to building on what I have achieved this year.
I had my own economic crisis two years ago, with exactly 68p in my bank account over Christmas, and no permanent place to live. It forced me into making a new start in life. I prefer my new simple lifestyle, and I am really grateful for all the things I have that money can't buy.

for 09 i am just asking the lord to keep my entire family safe from danger. i am expecting my second child in may so i am excited about that. my last concern for 09 is to be able to really save some money. because this year i did not do a good job at it at all so i am hoping that next year would be a better year for saving
