chocolate or vanilla cake for this coming holidays?

I have a problem with your discussion here....
Why do I have to pick between chocolate and vanilla. The season is longer than just one meal isn't it, so I would have to say that I would go with both.
I went for many years never eating vanilla ice cream because I thought it was boring until my wife brought it home instead of the other kinds we like.
So now it's both on my fav list.

hi my dear friend, i love cakes a lot and i can eat a whole lot of chocolate cakes . i like to bake too. my hubby also love chocolate and i love to bake for him at time. i love to have black forest, chocolate cake, sometime pineapple too, rich truffle. i l ove flavours of chocolate but i dont like strawberry flavour in cakes a lot. i can take that flavour in cassata, because its just a slice of it in that. i cant have a whole lot of strawberry flavour cake in my mouth.

Personally I am not having cake this holidays, but I love strawberry cheesecake!
You just gave me the great idea of making some in the very near future, yum!
I like chocolate cake aswell, especially if it's a bit mushy

I really love chocolate cake but most everyone else in my family likes vanilla. We usually don't have cake for the holiday though we just have cake on our birthdays we have pie for the holidays my favorite pie is peanut cream that has to be the best pie every.

I am planning on making chocolate cake tonight to take over to my folks' tomorrow. It is a really recipe with loads of dark chocolate, sugar, eggs, and not a lot else.
I don't think we need to have a reason to have cake, it is good all year round.
