Depends, there have been occurring cataclismic events a long time ago when the earth was young, and it wasn't the end of the world, for example the Ice Age, or the Dinosaurs' Extinction. If you have a good reason for the human race to die, then what race should be leading the earth?

Dont you worry about anything happening to the world based on movies. If anything happens according to a movie, it is only that the Movie Producer earns his Millions. Nothing is going to happen in 2012- there are some people in this world who would like to do sensational things to make their bucks.They get the money out of gullible folks. There was a lot of hubub about the world's end by 1999. So many things were predicted based on Nostradamus' book Centuries. I don't find anything drastic happened. Earth quakes, Volcanic Eruptions, Tsunamis, Floods and parts land getting submerged under sea have always been advanced. How many happened? You should see a movie, if you are in fear discuss with some people and forget the whole thing and go about your business. That is the best way!
