Why we use CPU in a computer?

I don't know exactly. I heard it is used for booting and also for storing our data either temporarily or permanently..

CPU stands for central processing unit. It's the heart (more of the brain) of the computer. It's a critical component of a computer and no computer exists without it.
When you use your computer, it's the part that does all the computing so it's necessary for all computing purposes.
