Do you think Brett Favre was worthy of the Pro Bowl?

OK, how the heck does Brett Favre make the Pro Bowl ahead of Philip Rivers and Chad Pennington? Of course Peyton Manning is a good pick as the starter, and Jay Cutler has had his ups and downs but more than not desrves to make it, but Brett Favre? Why, just because he is Brett Favre? I can't help but think if Rivers or Pennington, whom the Jets let go to Miami after trading for Favre, were playing for the Jets they would be better than the 9-6 record the Jets have now and already would have won their division. If Favre was worth Pro Bowl consideration, the Jets could have easily been 12-3 right now. Not that I really think you can blame one person for a teams misfortunes, but if Favre had performed as a Pro Bowl caliber QB, as I said before, the Jets would have already won the East. Favre is 13th in the league in Passing yards, tied for 8th in TD's,1ST IN THE NFL IN INT'S, and 18th in QB Rating! Does this sound like a Pro Bowl QB to you? Certainly doesn't to me, but let me know what you think.

Pro bowl worthy? Yes. Playoff worthy? No. The pro Bowl is popularity contest, period. The fans vote for whom they know, not who had the better year. They Want to see Favre , not the other guys that jave the numbers And have delivered their teams to the playoffs.

I was asking if he DESERVED to be in the Pro Bowl. I understand what you are saying, but that doesn't mean he should have made the Pro Bowl, as compared to his peers.

The problem is that not every player voted in really deserves to be in the Pro Bowl. But Bret is a star and he did make the Jets better, so in my bias opinion, I am a Jet fan, he does deserve it.

I said no immediately. But, I then took a minute to contemplate whether or not it was because I'm a Packers fan and I don't want him to succeed. So, I looked at the facts. There are probably a half dozen quarterbacks in the AFC having just as good or better years than he is. And, I honestly believe, if he weren't Brett Favre, he might be facing the bench after some pretty questionable winter weather performances. So, I can honestly say, without bias, no he should not be in the Pro Bowl. Rivers should have his spot and Pennington should be the alternate.
