Are cell phones really important?

We lived without them, and lived just fine. Why have cell phones become so important. Nobody seems to keep their hands off it. Constant rings lets nobody concentrate on the moment. Everytime one is waiting for a call back or a message and not paying attention to what is happening at that very moment. Are we loosing simplicity of life?

My cell phone is really very important for me as I keep getting important phone calls from my clients.My phone is very handy when it comes to use it in work.I only have a cellphone fromwhich I conect to all myfriends, family, relatives, clients and also from my office.
