If you reply to a discussion, and move to another linki EITHER WITHOUT clciking on skip tag or submitting a few atgs, your post count wont increase.
Mine is not increasing for sure, duno if I am the only one !

i think the reason may be that some discussions are removed by mulot . this is very possible , there are some discussions which are bad ,if i am an admin of mylot , i will just remove it without hesitation .

No that is not what happens to me either. My guess is some discussions might be delited or it takes time to update your account.
