How do you feel about children being suspended from school?

Schools need to change this policy! - they need to keep the kids in school.

I think its the teachers easy way out. Who is getting punished here, the kids or the parent? My kids would love to have a day off from school. When they do get suspended I do not allow them out of the house. Good thing I'm a stay at home mom. What do parents do if they have to work? Then the kid is left home all day to do as he pleases, what kind of punishment is that?

It is not a punnishment at all. It is just another day off. I had inschool suspension and it was awefull. I couldent even go to the caffeteria to get lunch, I had to give my money to another student to get it for me or bring my own lunch. Also you have NO interaction with your friends in any way. It sucked. I definately learned my lesson. That is for shure.

I don't think it teaches them anything except how to get out of going to school another day. It is more punishment for the parents.
