How much sleep do you think people nowadays need?

How much sleep do you need everyday? I just found that people always sleep after 12 nowadays, no matter you are a student or an adult or even a little child. For me, I need about 8 hours sleep. Otherwise, I will be very tired the next day and bad mood! I hate myself being moody. Tell me, how much sleep you need and what happen if you do not get enough of sleep?

I sleep at 10 during work days :D Just like you, I'd feel tired if I don't get at least 8 hours of sleep. I have to get up early because my boyfriend picks me up and takes me to work - and since he brings his car, we have to get to work early or we'd be wasting gas if we get stuck in traffic. In general, I get at least 7 hours of sleep a day. I have to take a nap after lunch if I get any less than that. If I could, I'd sleep 8 hours. I was able to pull that off for a couple of months and my eye bags completely disappeared! Thanks for the comment on my discussion!

I think it depends on each person, their life, their needs, and such. Some people may need more sleep than others. Some people can easily live their life with little sleep, some with more.

i don,t need but 4 to 5 hours of sleep perday iam not a moody personi awaken in a good mood daily.if i don,t feel well i don,t say anything to anyone.i rather just keep to myself until iam feeling better.if i don,t get enough slepp iam very tired.

It depends what do you do! For example if you are an athlete, after the game you need more than 8hrs of sleep that day (from my own experience). But usually I need between 7 and 9 hours of sleep everyday. I know that my mom needs only between 5 and 7 hrs of sleep. So, it really varies from person to person.
