I find myself a little picky.
I don't like seeing any crease lines on the spine of my soft cover books.
Whenever, i read, i try my best not to open the book to it's fullest potential because i still want to have my book look brand new.
Are you like that too?
I realize some girls have some particular trait and this is one of them.

LOL, you are not! I am about the same as you.
I try the best I can to take really good care of any books on my hand, especially those who are mine.
Unlik Cinder, I much prefer memorise the page number rather than using any bookmark. Huhu.
Oh, by the way, I think I inherited this genes from my father who keeps his book fairly good.
Have a nice day!

oh yea... i would rather memorize the page number too.
and i didn't know this had to do with genes. i must start observing how my parents treat their books.

im the same way. when im done reading a brand new book it usually looks like its never been read..no creases..i DONT dog ear the pages and i use the thinnest book mark i can find. usually just a thin strip of paper.
i HATE letting others borrow my books because they open it up fully..and then LAY IT FLAT OUT LIKE THAT!! omg that drives me nuts!
my dad has a habit of doing that..and since i really cant say "no dad you are too mean and rough with my books you cannot read it"..he's my dad. lol i just have to catch him at it and say PLEASE DONT DO THAT!
or..the ever UN-popular.."Bad Dad!" and then fix the book myself!
LMAO..dang ppl wanting to mistreat and manhandle my precious babies!

I tend not to buy books. I get them out at the library. Because of that, many are not in the best condition, and that is OK with me. If I were buying them, then I would be more picky, but since I am just borrowing them, I don't really care about the condition I get it in, as I care much more about the words. I do try to return them in the same condition as I bought them though.

i usually buy used books so i almost never have a book in top condition but i also take care of them to prevent further damage..i don't spread it out flat to prevent having creases on the spine and i always arrange my books in an organized way to prevent it from being misplaced and neglected..
