My mother taught me form a young age not to use curse words and for the most part I have embraced that admonition (well maybe I have cursed a little lately). What do you think of persons who use curse words ?.Do you use curse word and if you do ,under what circumstances ? Or are you one of those persons who cant make a sentence without using a curse word even though ,nothing is troubling you.
Do you believe that some words are curse words or do you think that words are just words ?

Well, till today I have never used a curse word.I am not at all used to using such words.I don't have anything against those who use the words at the extreme of situations but people who use curse words just for the sake of using it,I just can't stand them.

the truth is, i feel so uncomfortable whenever i come across one who just love to utter one curse word after another. so i have to slither away from the guy.
as for the person who utters a curse word out of anger or surprise, i have to remind him/her of the word just said and as to how one should hold oneself aginst any further utterance of it.

I wish that people would not use curse words, at least in everyday conversation. Now don't get me wrong, I have been known to say some words that I shouldn't when provoked and even then I wish I did not. But I find that when I am around people who can't make a sentence with out a curse word I begin to reflect their way of talking. Since I don't like to talk that way it distresses me to find myself doing so just because of who I am around.

I only curse (swear) when I am extremely angry and that is not very often to be honest. I was brought up in a home where I very rarely heard my parents swearing. In fact I do not even remember the last time either of my parents swore in front of me. I do not swear when I am home, and even when I am outside, I always prefer to express myself without having to swear as I think swearing just sounds vulgar.

I use curse words when I'm really worked up about something. Other than that, I really try to avoid it. We teach our kids that words like "stupid" and "dumb" are curse words, too. Any word that has a negative meaning is not acceptible for our kids to say. - My daughter does very good with this 'rule' and even tattles on her friends sometimes for saying those negative words! lol A lot of parents find this okay, but not us!!!

I was raised to not use curse words and there are some that I find very offensive. I hate to be watching a movie and the character is cursing. It seems to me that the curse words are very much over used. My grandfather had some words that he used but the most offensive he never used unless he was alone and say hit his thumb with a hammer. He taught us not to use them and I still don't. I do some time say fudge if something needs a curse word.

yes i do use them when i am realyl really really pissed off! realy, i do not like people using curse words simply or in every sentence of their convosation or just too frequent. i think that is very rude and low manner. that is why i try to suppress whenever i am pissed off. but i could came back home and shout or curse them when nobody was there. i think that is normal though lol.. i dont mean to curse, it is just to realease it i guess..for me words are just words,.. some people meant it to curse though....

words are just words ronnyb. it is how we use and utter them that makes them touch us so caringly or strike us and hurt us so horribly.
no, my parents are just like yours. they have always forbidden us the use of such words and we never heard them utter any since my youngest days on earth.
we are then among the lucky breed of children in this world. those who utter nasty and dirty words, i was told, is representative of how they are deep inside them. so, why join them? let us never copy their unapprovable way of life.

Well, just like you, I was taught by my parents not to say curse words at a very young age. Most of the time, I don't use any curse words. As an educated person, I think it improper to say curse words. But it doesn't mean we cannot use curse words forever, rather, it depends. When I'm not in good mood or if I feel depressed or angry, I say curse words. I do not mean to abuse anyone, just to relieve myself.

Dear friend,
I had used when I was college that too the friends I had often use it, but later I got two other friends who never use curse words and how they were behaving with other and how smoothly they get along with others, from there onwards I had never used any curse words. But I had used curse words only to my college friends. None others I had ever used cruse words. It becomes irritating when some use curse words to us may when I use it they too get irritating like me. Hence I had stopped long back using and no more practice is their in using cruse words anymore

Well I used cursed words before. This is most especially when I am bothered by someone and I am under pressure. But now, I am no longer doing it. I have learned to control my emotions and always take thing lightly may it be good or bad. Along with this controlling of temper, I have also controlled the use of curse words and have basically started to just keep my composure in any tight situation.

I don't like to speak curse words. Some words are not good. I'm not the one who can't make a sentence without using a curse word.

It has been said that I work in profanity the way some artists work with oils or clays. I usually only do this when I get angry or upset about something, but I sometimes do it at other times.

i don't like using curse words. but i do use it when i am really angry. only when i was already adult like a year ago or two when i used it when i am angry but i dno't use it that every day. only occassionally.
well i really don't like it. but i don't want to any more. but i can control myself. i am not a person that will have difficulty to stop swearing as some people do cause if it is so part of them that it is next to impossible to change them.

Several days, I use some curse words to one of leaders, because his words hurt me so much. When I told him that my father was in the hospital, and I must to him there, my leader try to stop me, just let me and other colleagues go the party. I felt angry, at that time, I just knew my father got a accident, and I don't know if he is all right or hurt somewhere, my leader made me angry. At that time, I just say some curse words to him angrily and then I just went away. haha

Never ronny. That because I never heard any curse words at home. Not in a single of time. Even when mom scolded me.. I don't remember her said that curse word is bad though, maybe I was influenced from my parents not just saying those bad words.

Honestly, yes sometimes I use curse words but that is nothing out of the ordinary. I tend to select my vocabulary very carefully depending on the people that I am around. With my friends it doesn't really matters what words I chose to use, but if I'm in a professional, talking to my professor, boss or anyone of the sort I would refrain myself from using curse words. It all depends on the people the surrounding and your comfort level. Both words and actions have their places, be it public, home, the workplace, etc...
