College After College And Still Not Finished

Sometimes I wonder if I'm college material. When ever I really want to do something I pursue that dream and fulfill my goals. With one exception, "College". I have been to several college and I have yet to receive one degree. The only thing I have came close to acheiving besides high school is business school. Needless to say that the school I went to doesn't exist anymore. I never had support concerning college, but always was determined to finish. I went to school so much off of financial aid and student loans until I couldn't keep up. Because of circumstances now I am not able to continue until I pay off the debt I owe. Being unemployed doesn't help my circumstances. Is there a way out? Is there anyone else experiencing this same situation or is it just me?

Don't give up. I think if you work to pay off your debts and then go back to school you'll find that you're much "hungrier" to learn after having been away from college for so long. I know it's frustrating not to be able to finish what you started, but sometimes life works out that way. Keep the dream in your heart and do what you need to do to make a triumphant college return. I don't see any reason to suggest that you're not college material, just that you've had some bad luck and trouble with finances. You'll make it if you keep trying!

Is it because of your grades? Or do you keep switching majors, because of changing career goals. Another reason? I started out in Liberal Arts, then I switched to music performance, then Behavioral Health, because I wanted to be a social worker. Then when that goal changed to graphic artist I became an art major. Then back to music performance and now I'm in Sound Technology and Music Performance double major. It took me awhile to find out what I want to do, but I love what I'm doing now. This semester I wrote an electronic song, Psy-trance, actually and I scored a movie trailer. That was a lot of fun and there is also an internship in some aspect of the music business. This coming semester I'm taking Music Business, ProTools, which is industry standard recording/editing software and also a recording session including CD mastering. My point is it won't really matter if it takes awhile if you find something you really love doing! After all most people work in excess of 40 hours a week and that would really be a drag long term if it's not something that you like doing. It sounds like Business is something you are interested in. If that is the case you will find a way. Are you sure your student loans are maxed out? Did you try to consolidate them? Maybe you were taking on too many classes. Once you get a job maybe you could go part time and pay out of pocket? I am also in debt and I spent thousands of my own money on school, but it will be worth it if I can get a job in the music industry. I hope this helped. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

Hi I'm kind of in the same situation as you are. Ive been to a nursing school after I graduated high school. Then after a year and a half shifted to Education (that's Teaching Course)due to lack of funds. But then after 3 years, I shifted back to nursing when the school I went open the course for the first. As I really wanted to finish nursing I shifted again. But then i got married, and had a beautiful child. I still want to finish college though.
