What are you going to do today?

I just want to have a peaceful Christmas. I want to rest and take advantage of Christmas break. Perhaps I'd do homework so that I won't have pending things to do anymore.

I see Christmas and New Year as the time for family reunion. I stay away from my family for work. This is the time of the year when I take a long leave and come home to meet my family. As such the festival doesn't have any great significance as I am not a Christian. But getting a day off and getting to spend it with my family means a lot to me. Its a day to relax, watch TV, have delicacies that my mom cooks and an evening out to some nice place.

Christmas is one of my favorite family holidays. We'll get up early and go to church and then we go to my Aunt's house for a light breakfast. This year, it's my turn to cook dinner so the family will gather at my house at around 2pm. We'll exchange our gifts and then sit down to dinner. My family is scattered around the U.S. and Christmas is the only time of the year that we can all be together.

Because I am far away from home I'm not gonna be able to spend Christmas day with my family. I'm gonna hang out with my friends, watch some NBA games, talk to my family on the phone (probably all day) and I might go out later on.
