V. Anand from india is the current world champion and the undisputed king of present chess world. The hero of indian sports is from southern part of the country,
where chess is the best rated mind game ..
his coolness, die hard attitude, softlook and intelligence is key to his success.
The country where cricket is a religion, tennis is only a glamour, boxing is a medal hope , hockey is a national game always in controversies, football is a shame etc.. the man stands tall like a king in a chessboard from his earlydays to till date. he achieved almost everything in the game except true recognitions, true followers, buckets full of sponsors...the list goes on. BUT...
THE CHAMP IS HERE.
Standing against all odds, fighting as a true warrior and holding the best spot in world chess , certainly makes him the greatest player ever....

Yes snayak11 you are right.He chose a path for himself and despite the apathy of government towards any other sports other than cricket,he made it big time in chess.Since,he had the means to reside outside India and pursue his career,it helped him a great deal.He is undobtedly India's numero uno hero to me.He has inspired a generation to take to chess and now we have so many good players.He is an inspiration to all youngsters here who have taken to chess as a career.
