Oh, too much work without rest can exhaust you quickly.I think working over time just several times, that's ok,while if you have to do like that everyday, that is not a good news.Nobody can work like the slave day and night.Salary is indeed important, the health is more critical.

Hi there zahirahana!
As a teacher, I think whether I like it or not, I should work overtime. I teach in one of the universities here in our city. One of the things that I do not like about my job is having to bring home some papers to check. I do not have any other choice though especially when I have to read working papers like reaction papers and case analysis. I also spend a lot of time in the evening until a little past midnight preparing my lectures for the next few days. All these stuff I do even after midnight is not paid. Teachers do it because of commitment and love for work...

Hi There! No way! I don’t like working over time….. no matter what… but of course if it is really really urgent or if there is no one to cover the next shift then I will definitely extend but as much as possible, I don’t’ want to extend my working hours… I need time for myself, my man and family then friends… lolz…
Happy Mylotting and Merry Christmas! Cheers!

hi friend, welcome to mylot.
happy xmas.
i don't have a preference to working overtime. i love my job and if it demands more time then i give i to get quality output, even if it is more than office hours. its that simple. no particular focus on overtime.
i believe that overtime is for those incapable persons who can't finish their work in time. this means that they are below par to those working alongside.
but now-a-days bosses feel that those working overtime are having more urge to work and they are the better workers. thats rediculous isn't it.
