MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! And I'm getting ready to head on over to the Disneyland front gate. I've heard it's just chaotic here on Christmas Day but we are going to weather the storm (literally.....it's raining ). What are you doing?

Well, Christmas is over and we all stayed home and had dinner and talked and enjoyed the peace for once. No rushing no nothing. We had a great time. Your friend onlydia

Ahhh, very nice. I think that next year we will avoid the crowds and once again just relax at home for Christmas. Don't get me wrong, we had a great trip even though the crowds were almost overwhelming and the weather wasn't the greatest but sleeping in and having the kids open up presents on Christmas morning is something that can't be replaced.

I know wasn't it so nice and peaceful. It was relaxing and I had a good time. So yes next year same thing. Unless I go to my Mom's but then it will still be the same. Dinner and peace and no noice none.how sweet the sound. No yelling no one talking over each other. Your friend onlydia

Merry Xmas to you too! It's already evening here and I'm back at work. I had the quietest Christmas day that I can remember but I managed to sleep extra which is what I had hoped for - my present to me Now I'm waiting for the snow which has been forecasted to arrive tonight Hope you have a fantastic time!

It would have been awesome if it had snowed at Disneyland but no such luck. It did rain though and it felt like it was cold enough to snow but we kept warm. It's nice to have a quiet day just for yourself once in a while and sleep is always nice

We are just spending time together. My daughter and her family left yesterday, and my son and his wife went to visit her family. We have to go feed the new dog. My daughter and son in law have to spend Christmas at his family home. Then they will go back home to Minnesota. It is way too far away to suit me.

Yes, it is too far to do a two day trip, and we seldom get more than two days off at a time. Having grandbabies so far away is hard.

I understand. I don't have grandchildren yet though I know that all of my children's grandparents will not allow us to move too far away from them.

Spending time together during the holiday season is special in itself. It's nice that your children came by to visit and I agree, 2 states away can be a little far to travel during this time of year. Especially with the weather that is hindering travel this year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS rjbass!!! well, glad to see you made it out of Vegas. i grew up 3 miles from Disneyland but never went for Christmas.......i'm sure you'll have a blast. i'm just sitting home watching the tube.......the ol' lady had to go to work.....so i'm on cooking detail today. i'm gonna try something i saw on Food Network that involves de-boning a turkey so wish me luck. anyways have fun and Happy Holidays.

Thanks :) Disneyland was great. It stormed a bit but we managed to keep moderately soaked not drenched. But it's all about family and quality time. How did your boneless turkey turn out? It sounds really good.

well, it looked like roadkill when i got done de-boning it, but once i put stuffing on it, rolled it up, tied it with string and cooked it, it came out just like i envisioned it. i also cut off the drumsticks, de-boned them and stuffed each one with a spicy Italian suasage................YUMMMMMMM!

That sounds scrumptious. I really need to learn how to cook because there are so many dishes that I see out there that I would love to try but don't. My wife is a good cook and our children like trying new things so a parent/child cooking class may be in order

I hope you had a nice Christmas and enjoyed the Disney festivities. On Christmas morning we opened presents. Then the kids played a bit while I made some fudge, and then a couple of friends came over and brought our kids gifts and visited for about an hour and then we all got ready to go to my sister in laws house for my husband's family's celebration. It was a very nice. day.

Sounds like a wonderful Christmas with a loving family. We should all be so fortunate. Disneyland was awesome again this year but we skipped on the Christmas Day thing because of the crowds and we wanted to be home for Christmas Eve this year. Take care and Happy New Year.

the weather here is not nice on Christmas.it is windy and cloudy with wet ,frozen air.it has a bad effect on my mood as i am fond of fine weather.the happy, exciting atmosphere has not cheered me up .we can feel the coming of the holiday.

I hope the weather clears up for you by the time New Years comes by. I finally escaped the rain but it is cold here.

Wow! I can't believe that. Not you going to Disneyland but that it's chaotic on Christmas day. We are first going to open presents, probably in about an hour, then around 3:30, me and my girlfriend will be going to my brother's house where he is having a Christmas day party.

It was awesome but yes chaotic. Not as bad as the day after Christmas, now that's what you call crowded. Everyone was shoulder to shoulder throughout the park so we shot over to California Adventure where it wasn't so bad.

I am just enjoying the day quietly. I have to work today so no festivity for me. Enjoy your day at the park, and have a very merry Christmas.

Thanks I hope you enjoyed your Christmas even though you were at work. It's amazing how many workers had a smile on their face at Disneyland even though the park closed late.

My kids live near Dizzyland as they call it. The youngest granddaughter went early in the week for a visit. They always have a good time there. I went when it first opened and one of my first dates with my husband was to Disneyland. It will always hold a good spot in my heart. Enjoy Christmas
