without any doubt it is the best year of cricket for indian when it comes to onfield and off field onfield they could able to win matches and the finals too and they could able to tranform the team juniors r taking charge from senior cricketers with great form is the main face of the indian cricket 2008

India is becoming one of the best cricket side. I think this was a big year for them and i was expecting the series to be a draw but India really did well to win the series. Altough the last test was a boring but at least India have won it. I am a pakistani and i was really looking forward to the India Pakistan series in jan. But unfortunately because of inhumanly people that was canceled. Anyways i wish Indian cricket team best wishes for the upcoming year, hope they win the next world cup. And yeah... in june there is a 2020 world cup again. I hope it would be as exciting as the last one. It was the best cricket tournament i have ever seen... best of luck to both pakistan and india. keep smiling

Yeah , you are right bro.
Truly a great year.The ODI series win in Australia kicked it off and then came the streak of good results. Thrashing Australia at their home in the ODIs and then back here in india was the best thing that happenned this year. Personal milestones were also reached as sachin became the highest run-getter in tests.The team will surely miss ganguly and kumble but in a way their absense wud benifit the cricket team.We already saw Yuvraj making a good effort against england to cement his spot in the test team.Now its upto amit mishra to prove his worth.
Wining the ODI series in sri lanka was also good especially after mendis had troubled our batsmen so much.
at the end of the year, having 3 indian batsmen among top-5 run scorers in tests for 2008 is worth an applause.
I am looking fwd to see india perform in their tour of new zealand.I wud particularly like to see Dhoni's captaincy on foreign venues.I don't see why dhoni's spirited leadership won't help india to retain the T-20 champions' trophy !

yes i agree this has been one of the biggest years for indian cricket winning the perth test then the one day series in australia, one day series in sri lanka, beating australia and england so easily infact demolishing them these have been achievements we rarely associate with indian cricket team. every player is playing well and looks relaxed got a settled team in both one day and tests. i think they have got a well deserved break for 2 months now and will help them to continue this great form next year as well.
