I'm glad that the Democrats took back the House and might have a Senate majority or at least keep it away from the Republicans. Now that there are actual checks and balances in the US government again, policy should start getting at least somewhat more reasonable.

I am Glad to see the Democrats back in charge again. It is something we need. Maybe this will wake up President Bush and see it is time to start pleasing the US again, and do something for them, instead of helping everyone else out, and continue to take away from the US. He could hurt any chance of a Republican ever getting into office as a President for a long time.

I was thinking that as well. Bush could hurt the Republican party. (Yeah I know I am not an american but I study world politics.) I think that with all the ill-will he has produced not only with other countries but in his own country.... it will make it a serious challenge for a Republican to stand and face the nation to run for their candidacy. I do like seeing the Democrats take some seats back in the government. It isn't all that likely to provide a serious change but it may impede any more plans Bush has that would be detrimental to the USA. The Deomcrats should now be motivated to be better to even further their chances of making their party's candidate the next president. Hopefully the Dems are more level headed and will help to rebuild the mistrust that has grew out of the Bush administration.
