Hey guys is it right to a husband doing all the laundry in the house? Since during my younger years washing on my soiled clothes are my most hated part of my lives, as far as house works is concern. I would rather go on ironing than do the washing. Now that I am already married, I can't hardly see my wife washing all of our soiled clothes especially that our washing machine is not working right now. So, I'll be the one doing it..and the more clothes I am washing now than before that I was still a single. Whether I like it or not, I will to do it for my wife. How about you what can you say about a husband doing all the laundry in the house? Is it awkward to see?

There is nothing wrong in a husband helping the wife to do the laundry in the house or elsewhere. I have been doing it since Day 1. Marriage is about sharingm not about one partner subjecting the other partner to something close to slavety. Doing the laundry together can tighten the marriage bond better. Sometimes I also help with the cooking and other household chores. There is nothing to be ashamed of unless the wife is lording over the husband.
all the best,

Yes you're right. This question just pop-up in my mind because I never heard husband who's proud of his share-of-load in the family. I guess some husbands it would just be a demerit to themselves doing works supposedly for a housewives job. Well, thank you then for your share...keep it up. Have a Prosperous and Happy New Year...

Why would it be awkward to see a husband helping by doing the laundry? My son is a single dad with two small children, so of course he has to do all the laundry for the household. In our household my guy and I share the chores. I do most of the cooking and dishes and cleaning. But he helps by doing laundry alot and he also mops the floors here most of the time. Chores these days are no longer "women's work" now that we are in the modern age.

hello mobhomeir,
It's just okey to help your wife do the laundry especially if you don't have work and she's the one who is working for the family. I see a lot of husbands doing the washing themselves and has no comment for that. It's really hard to wash especiall if there is no washing machine. So, I salute all the husbands who does the washing for their wife.
I'm helping my wife too in doing the laundry if she is washing our blankets. The blankets are heavy when they're wet so, she needs my help. If not, she all does the washing.

We do not do our laundry since I have hired someone to wash our clothes. My wife and I are both working and we do not have the time to wash our clothing. Though we are free on Saturday and Sunday, we spend it outdoors to releive us of stress. Someone comes to our house every morning to wash our clothes and we pay her for a month rate.

Yes jpso I will do that also if I could just have money for someone who will do the laundry for us, firstly because I hated this washing of clothes, but since I don't have any choice I will just rather do it than hiring someone else. Thanks

Oh,I don't laught at a man when he is doing housework .Because my old brother often help his wife cooking, washing and cleaning. In my opinion,as the husband love his wife he will help her doing some housework, because the family need you and your wife operate together.
