Here is a recipe i got using microwave.. hope this helps.. MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE IN MICROWAVE OVEN 1/4 c. (1/2 stick butter) 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chocolate syrup Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and beat until fluffy. Add sifted dry ingredients, vanilla and chocolate syrup. Beat until thoroughly blended. Pour into an 8-inch square or round glass baking dish. Cook, uncovered, 7 minutes in microwave oven. FROSTING: While cake is still warm, spread 1 cup miniature marshmallows over the top. In microwave oven, melt 2 tablespoons butter for 30 seconds in glass mixing bowl. Add 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons evaporated milk; mix thoroughly. Cook uncovered, for 2 minutes. Quickly mix in 1/4 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Pour over cake and blend with marshmallows. Microwave cooking times are approximate. Cooking time varies with the model of microwave oven. http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1729,151174-237204,00.html

I've never heard of making cake in a pressure cooker, and I don't see how it would be possible. The pressure would just blow the batter apart. If I remember correctly (it's been a long time since I used a pressure cooker), you have to have some liquid in it, which would wind up mixing with the cake batter. All you'd get would be a mess. You can make it in a microwave, but it won't come out the same. The layer of batter can't be as deep or it won't cook in the middle as fast as the rest. And it won't brown at all, and the texture will be different. You would have to experiment, but it can be done.

Gayathrigs , if you have Convection feature in your microwave oven then you can bake a cake and make biscuits too. Read the instructions given in the pamphlet for directions about all the functions and check if there is a TAB 'CONVECTION' in the oven. If you have lost the pamphlet then just check if there is this tab. But be careful about the cookware used if you are going to use Combination mode[micro+convection] For convection +microwave you need to use only thick glass vessels.

Using Pressure Cooker : Heat the cooker in a stove or cooking range. Do not pour water in it. Place the cooker dish with holes, at the bottom of the cooker. When the cooker is well heated, place the dish with the cake batter inside, on top of the cooker dish. Close the cooker with the lid. Do not put the weight. Lower the flame after 2 or 3 minutes. It can be switched off after half an hour. Do not open the lid to test whether the cake is done. Put a skewer through the hole of the weight. If the skewer contains the cake mixture, it is not baked. The mixture will not stick on to it when the cake is done. http://www.webindia123.com/cookery/cakes/hints.htm

Hello gayathrigs, Yes you can bake cake in micro wave but it will take a long time I supposed compare to oven, but if you have turbo broiler there in the absence of an oven, I highly recommend you to bake with turbo broiler. I like baking my cakes iturbo broiler because it saves me time and I can bake cake in just short time and you will not be worried if your cake won't be cook in the middle because Turbo's heat is focus in the middle. Set the timer as you bake.
