My sons drives an 18 wheeler and sometime he given boxes of supplies like flour, grits etc. He was given a box of plain Pillsbury flour this box contains about 48 2pds boxes of flour and he called me and asked me if I wanted it. I said bring it on I can find someone that uses it. My cousin loves to bake she is always baking cakes, I asked her if she wanted some of the flour she said she didn't use that brand of flour she only use White Lily flour. So her answer was no.
I found someone else that uses it, my neighbor across the street she said she was baking cakes for Christmas.
I am going to bake a pound cake when I can stop being lazy and get to it.
Do you use a certain brand of flour?
Do you use a certain brand of anything and just refuse to use anything else but that brand?

I will use whatever flour I need. I will go cheaper when I can.
On certain items, I am brand specific. I won't get any other kind.
Although, there are some items I will buy whatever is cheapest, or I try and figure out what items I get the most for the size of the item, regardless if it cost more. I'll even make the cleaning supplies if I have the opportunity.

I'm a bit behind in responding to the discussions in my email box but I'm trying to catch up.... No I don't use one brand and only one brand. I usually buy the store brand however, unless another brand is on sale and cheaper than the store brand, I'll buy it. I don't see where there's a difference with one product over the other. They all do what they're suppose to do, right? lol

I am not brand loyal when it comes to flour, but I am for certain things like hot dogs (only Nathans) and diapers (only Huggies).

I will only use Kraft cheese. I don't like any other cheese. Other then that I don't think I use any particular brand of anything.

I am not that way but my mom is. She will only use a certain brand for almost everything she uses!

Dear friend,
As far as possible we use only one brand of flour. As it is mostly used my mother at times I may have to buy it. Also get confused when the store keeper gives a comparative feedback on various flours. As far as possible we use only one brand that is locally make and which my mother is most preferred. Until we had not refused any brand if that specified brand which we used to is not available. But it is always available.

mine is coffee. its the only thing im picky about. i drink a lot of instant coffee and i cant stand most of it. i only drink Mountain Blend by nescafe. its sometimes very hard to find a store that still sells it. funny thing is, my other family members that drink brewed coffee often likes to drink it when their around me and says it tastes better than other instant.

As long as I have heard of the brand, no worries. Sometimes you find discounted items in stores and you've never heard of the brand...those things I shy away from. But flour, probably any brand is going to be okay.

Months ago I only use the same brand stuff, now since the financial turmoil, I try different brand and I realize that some are even better neglecting the cost. So I wanna say the expensive is not always better than the comparative cheap.

I would like to experiment wit different brands to know which one is better.... U can identify the best one only if u try out all the possibilities...

no! i use a perticular brand, but also try others on and off, in case there is something better in the market. would not like to stick with old brand and show blind-loyality to any brand.
if i get anything better will definately try,and/or change

its difficult to use same brand all the time.... iam always change the brand which in use....
if you use the only one brand and not trying other ones than no one can compare the qualty between all these brands.

No, I will not stick to one brand only. I do like to try some brands as well. So I know for sure which one is the best. The moment I found my best flour, then I will try to use it as long as I can. But it also depend on what kind of cake that I will bake.

Hi Chevee,
I don't care what brand it is, if anyone offer it to me I will take it, I don't make a fuss over brand names. Hugs.
