well, i don't think it's a good idea actually. i just don't see why we have to make a version of something so popular. filipinos are talented and i know some could come up with something great without having to franchise the famous movie. i feel bad about it and i know a lot are too.
well, why don't you share your insights about the matter? thanks in advance.

i agree! im a big fan of twilight saga and just like you, i also feel bad about it. i don't know if it's true. if ever it is, i think it won't make a big hit in the philippines. besides, the actors and and actresses in takipsilim cannot be compared in the original twilight movie actors/actresses.

They're milking the cow which can't provide milk. Twilight is not even familiar with the bakya masses. Some people who have read the book said that the movie sucks so what more if it will be done in Filipino version? Guaranteed to suck. Even Lobo was a rip off from the movie "Blood and Chocolate" and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Sure it made money and was successful but that's what the producers care about. They don't care about risking money for the sake of originality.

that's very true. all people care about nowadays is money and their thinking seems to be corrupted because of greed. lol.

ABS-CBN definitely killed this issue. Maybe it will take a while before they are going to "release" the takipsilim thing. Anyways, the reaction of twilighters and some bloggers definitely scared them.

I was actually shocked when i first saw this video yesterday about Takipsilim in YouTube. Also, this news is posted in perezhilton.com! 0_o I also noticed the furious reactions of Twilighters as i've scanned through the comments there. Personally, I don't thinks it's a good idea. They might as well save a million dollars, find a nice book, and make that into a movie.
Fortunately, I learned afterwards in the ABS-CBN website (and also aired in TV Patrol) that it was just a hoax.

Hi There! Yes, same here. I really don’t like the idea of putting a Filipino version of Twilight… I don’t think it will be a good idea.. I mean, why can’t they just create a unique story or soap opera for the Filipino viewers to watch… it is like more of imitating it…. Argghhh….
Happy Mylotting and Merry Christmas! Cheers!

yeah. i liked iisa pa lamang and i think they should make shows out of their own creativity. filipinos have talent! why not put it to good use? i mean, let's be original. i'm pretty much sure twilight fans outside the country are gonna get a good laugh out of this crap.

Oh no! Here we go again. Do we really have to do that? Come on. This is just one of the dumbest idea we've ever thought of.

All I can say is... hahaha! This is going to be interesting! I mean, there is definitely a twilight hype these days but then how can they sustain it when there will come a time that the hype will have dwindling interests. Hehe!
