Located at Tayabas City, Quezon Province, Philippines, there's a restaurant I'd always like to stop when I visit other towns in the province. The restaurant is composed of floating bamboo rafts floating in a fish pond. You can also see some fishes on the pond and you can either catch them and have it cook or you can just look at it and have some fun by feeding them small food. I usually feed fish crackers.
The restaurant is named "Kamayan sa Palaisdaan." Why? Because in this restaurant, it is much more fun to eat food using your barehands, the traditional Filipino style of eating. But do not worry, they still have eating utensils available for use like spoon, fork, and a knife. The foods are served in a wooden plate with a banana leaf on top, and the food is placed there.
Traditional Filipino cuisines are served there, from smoked fish to pork spare ribs, and from shrimp to squids, they have it all. But of course, I like eating pork spare ribs and dip it to a soy sauce with spices all over, and then savor the taste with rice.
And the fun part, is you can get to see the beautiful scenery of the mystical mountain, Mt. Banahaw.
You should come and try eating at this restaurant. You can drop me by a message, hehehe, and I'll guide you there:) Bon Apetit (^_^)
