Quitting all GPT sites including myLot ):

This is my new year's resolution, to quit all GPT sites. I figure I can make more money and quicker by getting a job offline. The reason I am quitting myLot as well is because I feel like it is a waste of time sometimes and I have a relatively active referral that is earning a decent amount of money for me. I will periodically check on my stats but that is about it. If you can convince me that GPT sites and earning money online is not a waste of time, then I might just not quit. That is if you can convince me.

No one is forcing you to stick to online money making. If you feel that your time is worth more and you can get more elsewhere, by all means, I would suggest that you do so. I think many of us enjoy making money online. Some people do this on a part-time basis, on top of their current full-time job. As for me, I'm a stay at home mom, I do this to add a little bit to my household income. So you have to ask yourself the rationale behind staying or leaving online money making.

Thank you for encouraging me to do what I want. I think I might just stay because the members are so nice and encouraging. I think I am not one of those people that enjoy making money online. As time passes, I find that I have less time for everything I want to do, including myLot. Since I cannot give up on my studies, I will give up mylot instead.

A lot of people use myLot to make friends and get referrals. It's a long process and needs to be worked at fairly full on but that is the only way you will make any money. If you are just here posting, you are wasting your time...so good bye and good luck

Yes, and that is why I have decided that it would be best to come back once in a while. I have time every now and then to blog, then I can also come back to mylot.

I thank you that you do not try to stop me. I think that is one of the things that makes myLot unique, the members are respectful of other people's decisions, especially those having to do with quitting myLot. Thank you for your support and I hope you never feel like you have to quit myLot!

I agree. But I like My Lot. This I will keep on doing. Not just for the money, but for the company. I like it here. Take care.

Hi, Of course studies comes first. But, you should not forget to live either. One hour a day, just to take your mind off. You could go to MyLot and get your mind on other things, this makes it easier to concentrate on your studies later. When I study, and I study to long, I cannot absorb. Sometimes the brain needs a break. But it is up to you. Either way, good luck. Take care.

I agree with you. I wish I could continue but I cannot as I have no time. It seems like I am getting busier every day! Since I am still a student and cannot quit my studies to make more time, I must give up and stop coming to myLot to make more time for my studies. Thanks for responding and have a great day!

I have a day job that I believe pays me well but I am still here most of the time and would be staying for a long time. You are just joining a site that is slow and a few ways to earn. GPT's are not good for international users and if it does, it depends on what country you are situated because it is territorial. Most of online money makers used this as a part time and for leisure only and a few uses this as the main earnings and myLot is not an easy money making site but you can maximize your earnings in every post you have. You may want to join a new review site that is now offering some substantial amount, so strike it while it's still hot. let me know if you want to join and start earning some good amount. In just a few hours there, I already earned more than $8. I hope that would inspire you to do more.

You are correct in saying GPT sites are not very good for international users. I think that is one reason I have been able to earn as much as I do on mylot, because it is internationally friendly. Mylot is not my main earnings and never could be. I come here to post and read what other people have to say. I think it is a great way to keep up with what life is around the world. If that review site paid you quickly and via Paypal, I might be interested. I am already a member of Ciao and CBU so send me some site stats (minimum payout, earning rate, etc.) if it is not one of those two.

Good luck!! I know having a job outside of all these online ones is much better. The online ones just add a little cash in your pocket nothing more. I wish you the best.

I know and I also feel that GPT sites are not fast earners. That's why we should only make it a part time. However, it may add some little cash in our pocket and that's all for free. Anyway, you can use it when you have spare time only. In my own opinion, joining real paying programs are not a waste of time. But don't make it your primary source of income. You can have an offline job and at the same time some GPT sites, if you want. Though, only you knows what's best for yourself. Good luck!

I really like your answer. I thought it made a lot of sense. GPT sites are only part time for me, but I am running out of time to devote my little time left to them. That is why I am taking a very long break and will come back in a couple months when I have more free time. I just do not have the spare time any more. I agree that you can have both, although it may be hard for some people. I will be back when I have more time, though. I guess you are right about what you said in the last line also, that only I know what is best. Well, I think the best thing right now is taking a break. Thanks for responding! I really agreed with the points you made and it has convinced me not to forget about myLot.

Time is the magic word here. Anything worth having requires putting the time in with hard work and persistence. Sure you can get a JOB and punch a clock and work hard for someone else. You have to remember the reasons you came online. I think most get online because they want something of their own and not just a job. Working online allows us to set our own timeframe, it is freedom to do what you want, when you want and how you want. That my friend, is what you are giving up. Good luck though whatever you decide to do.

Then I guess I will not quit, but take a very long break from myLot. I am running out of time because I am getting busier as time passes. Just more things to do. I think I you are correct in why people want to try to earn money online. I think I will come back in a few months when I have more time. Hopefully, myLot still pays then. Even they didn't, I would come back whenever I could. Thanks for the advice, as I found it extremely helpful. Hope you have or had a happy holiday season.

That is a very smart idea. I will try that but to get my focus back on studying, I will be away for a few weeks or months even. Then when I have sorted out my priorities, I will be back!

The bonus money I make here is fun but it is not the reason I stay. I enjoy being here and I have a lot of fun chatting with people and expressing my views on all sorts of things. If I was able to work I would go out and get a job to earn money. I do not believe you can earn good money online. Some people say they do but maybe they get in early or are good at selling. When someone says how much they make I ask them how much it cost them to get to that stage and have they actually made back the money they spent. Most of them say no not yet but they will they are so sure. I am not so sure. If I was only looking for money I would not be here but I get a lot more out of mylot than money.

I agree with you. The bonus money is what brings people to mylot but they always stay because they like it. I also enjoy being here as it is a great place.

No, it is a waste of time, to a certain extent, especially if you are not all serious about it. But it is fun and you get to talk to people you don't really know and you get to express your opinions, which normally you can't truly do. I mean, really, if a guy on the bus started talking to you out of the blue about anything people post on myLot, you would switch seats, right? And if they give me a couple of pennies to tell people what I think, then that's kinda cool. Go ahead, get a job, but still myLot is kinda fun. Penny for your thoughts can put pennies in my pocket, and eventually they add up, so don't "quit" as though it were a job. CVome, chat, express and explore, have some fun. That's what I think.

I agree with you. Expressing myself in words by typing it out on a computer and sharing it online with people I don't know is a lot easier for me sometimes than sharing my feelings with close friends and family. I am not quitting like it was a job. I am taking a break from my computer and myLot happens to be online. So in conclusion, I am taking a time off from myLot.

The decision is yours to make. Why would anyone have to convince you to stay. All that would do is make you want to go faster. The ultimate decision is yours to make honestly! Everyone can do better by getting a second part-time job of some sort, sure they could. If they only applied themselves. I could understand if you were saying something like you were thinking of killing yourself or something dramatic such as that. But really, no one made you or convinced you to join mylot or any of the other GPT sites you belong to. Any no one can convince you to stay or to go, other than yourself. You are in control, so my fellow mylotter for now, I say, until we meet again be it online or in person, have a great time doing whatever your heart leads you to do, and may you prosper in it.

It took me all of a wekk to realise that money-making is a barely relevant aspect of Mylot. I enjoy the little bonus payout each month for enjoying myself by being here, but if money was was my reason, well, I wouldn't be here. Lash

I'am the new guy in mylot.Maybe a rookie. The most important reason i join mylot is learning my english.Of course i can earn the extra money from it at the same time.Kill two birds with one stone.Hoho.. But,it's not my main daily work.In my opinion,if mylot takes lots of time you should leave. To do something worth doing. Happy mylotting and make your decision!^_^

There are many people similar to you that come to myLot to not earn money online but to learn English instead. I think myLot is the perfect place to learn English as the members are very friendly and will help you along. I think what you and others are doing is a wonderful idea. Thank you for your opinions. I have made my decision and have decide to take a break from mylot and return when I have more free time. Would it be okay if I quoted you in my blog? I would give you the credit of course, but thought that I would ask first to be polite.

Hi, Before am posting my answer, i request you to think twice before you make any decision. Like, i hope everyone have net connection at home, if you feel that its unwise to work online and you switch over to off line jobs., think this. . you could atleast spend for your net connection through the money you make online. So its not always unwanted work right? You don quit actually, you spend some time in this to make your money, just for supporting your income. I hope you get my point :) Take care

You earn some money with GPT but it is not enough for a living. If you keep them apart to buy a nice present for you at the end of the month is one thing but if you want a more stable income than go for an offline job.

i don't think anybody is forcing you to stay on mylot or to any other site online. it's your own to decision whether to stay or quit. people here come and go, some come and really stayed like me, the site is fun with a lot of good things to share and learn. it rewards our every effort and though it may seem that the reward is a bit slow or little, the fact remains that mylot stayed through the test of time. i hope you can decide whether to really stay or not, and whatever your decision is be rest assured that mylot will still be here...helping us to earn additional $.

Oh no! I'm sorry to read that your leaving mylot I understand that you dont make much here, but wont you miss chatting a discussing interesting things I don't think mylot is a total waste of time, because you can meet and chat with so many great people and even if I found something that I could earn more from I think I would still remain a member of mylot, everyone is very helpful here, and who knows when you might really need some good advice and you cant log in and post the topic and get some helpful adivce that would just be weired, I hope you decied to stay at mylot, but I guess you have to do what you think is best.

well if you know how to manage time then i don't think you will have problem in choosing between your studies and mylot / any other online earning program for that matter. even i am student and preparing for my exams but whenever i feel very much exhausted by studying i come online and make some money for myself so simple

That is not always true. Time management is not my problem. I have other things to do besides school and myLot. Sometimes you have to make hard decisions. I would also come online to myLot whenever I am bored or have nothing to do but I am so tired these days and I do a lot of studying online so I want to take a break from my computer.

Thanks for your wishes! Good luck to you on mylot as well! Honestly, I do not have an offline job but was simply comparing it to one. I am still attached to school so I know what that feels like. There are also very few places where I could get a job and like you, I am stuck online. But I will go offline to focus on my studies.
