is it man or religion the root cause of all the hatread in the world. I think and know for sure it is man. and religion on the contrary is the reason why man is so civilized. or else we would still be the same barberic people we've seen movies of . Religion is to put man straight and show him the path to God, but man misuses, and interpretes and also blames it for his own shortcomings. But in the end religion will prevail.

Religion has had 2000 years to make a difference, not only has it failed miserably, but it has been the root cause of many wars and millions of murders. The Church murdered millions during the Dark Ages in Europe to rid the world of witches, who were challenging it's authority. Also many hundreds of witches were tortured and killed in America for the same reasons. The Indigenous peoples of the new world suffered Horribly at the hands of European Missionaries, all in the name of Jesus Christ. My God, How can Religion be justified given its Murderous track record over the last 2000 years?

Not all Christians are as you describe - murders and hate mongers. There are those who do love and care about others and are as the saying goes: tolerant. That's why I look at my faith, as something based on the scriptures, and a vital relationship with God. He does NOT put it in the heart of mankind to kill each other, or to hate anyone. that comes through deception, and making wrong choices in life, and promoting one's own belief above others to the point of "control." Making choices is what it is all about, and deciding on whether one believes in Jeus Christ, or believing there's a 'better way.' But He said that He was the way, the truth and the life. One can believ or reject that, and those choices then lead us - - the right way or down another path that we 'want' to take instead. C. C.

Well said. I quite agree with you. Man just uses religion to justify killing the ones he wants to kill. Men hated women who were not obedient so there was a witch hunt in which any woman who was independent and outspoken was persecuted until women were too scared to stand up for their rights. The indigenous people were murdered because the Europeans saw them as different and anything different had to be killed. Again religion was just a tool that these evil men used to justify the killing.

Money, is it good or bad? Money is not the problem, it all depends on how it is used. Also some counterfeit money. It is same with religion. There is good religion and bad religion. It all depends on what fruit it produces. There are good people and bad people, it all depends on the deeds they produce. At this time I see there are good and bad in every religion. In some religions the bad outnumber the good. Will there ever be one good religion? I believe one day there will be! Because I am 1hopefulman!

religions are peaceful but the people always misuse religions for their benefits, but all the hatreadlike muslim invasion and christian invasion and all was to spread the religion and to loot the money so the root cause was the money which made the man blind for killing his brothers and sisters

It is Satan, the arch enemy of mankind who deceived Eve and Adam who kept silent when he should have said 'stop don't eat that!" that is the root cause of all the hatred we have here. True religion the belief in God who gives us the moral compass to do what is right is not that cause of hatred. It is the world, our own flesh, and the devil that seeks to rise against God. The devil is a liar and so twists God's words that he makes good seem evil, and evil seem good and sets man down the road to confusion and ruin. True religion brings honor and harmony, false religion or man made religion brings discord.

With the invention of Satan mankind has relieved himself of all sins committed. It is so easy to say it was the devil told me to do it, funnily in the court of law the judge doesn't accept that but religion does

efc872, by unmasking the main cause of evil and trouble, we are not absolving man of his criminal deeds. If someone tells me to jump in a lake and I listen, I cannot put the blame on someone else. I jumped and I'm responsible for the consequences. Satan the Devil was the first perpretator of evil and anyone who follows his path are just as guilty. There is no absolution by saying someone else told me to do it. No matter what anyone says, we can stand up and refuse to listen and to follow. We can be different. Exodus 23:2 (New Living Translation) 2 “You must not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you are called to testify in a dispute, do not be swayed by the crowd to twist justice.

Well for a start off i doubt it's the devil. I believe that's an excuse to keep god the perfect idol for all. It's both religion and man. Man's empotions, greed, gluttony, selffishness etc etc all contribute to the hatred on Earth but so does religion. The differences between them all are exploited more than the similarities: the muslims think theirs was God's chosen religion, the jewish think theirs is gods chosen religion and the christians, catholics, hindus etc etc. (The same idea is in all holy books) On top of that there's the idea of killing people for your religion, while i can't see how God can allow such 'sacrifices' in his name, and i don't understand how people believe that wars from this will get them closer to god (partially cos im not religious, partially because it's barbaric and goes against all religious teachings). The teachings of 'God' contradict themselves. In this people perceieve what they want to find; this leads to faiths being built on assumptions, conflicting ideas and then war. Traditional behavioural pattern. So, it's both.

Because people automatically say: something bad happens it's the devil, something good happens it's God. There's you're excuse. I honestly believe hinduism is one of the most peaceful religions thriving in the world. Rather than relating more to the religion i was concentrating more on the fundamentalists that come with any religion. There are hindu extremeists out there, we just don't hear as much of them. Be that media or otherwise. In every religion some people believe their religion is best - in the Bible, torah and Koran this is actually written. It's this idea of superiority in god's eyes that lead to the war, hence the idea of religion being a factor of hatred in the world. Sorry if my wording wasn't as clear before, but that is what i meant.

Would you not say that the teachings of Jesus would eliminate war if followed? John 13:35 (New International Version) 35By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." Matthew 7:12 (New International Version) 12So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 5:44 (New International Version) 44But I tell you: Love your enemies[a] and pray for those who persecute you, Romans 12:17-21 (New International Version) 17Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. 18If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay,"[a]says the Lord. 20On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."[b] 21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Revelation 12:9,12 (New International Version) 9The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. 12Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short." As we can see from this verse, the major culprit for the evil and wickedness in the world, is Satan the Devil, an evil angel that rebelled against God.

The major culprit of evil will soon be put out of commission. The scripture shows that he is multiplying the evil because he knows he has a short time left to continue his evil deeds.. Romans 16:20 (New International Version) 20The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

Religion is a set of beliefs created by man to keep society, especially women, under control. The sooner we chuck religion, the faster we will progress. Religion is just a bunch of superstitious lies created by those in power and accepted by those who had neither brains nor power. Cheers and happy Mylotting

Religion is just an invention of man and it is used to force others to do as they are told. It is just a tool that men use for their own needs and to gain power. Religion cannot prevail over man as it is just a tool of men. It has been used for centuries to justify killing, torturing and suppression of women and anyone else that the men who control it want to suppress. Mankind is capable of good and evil. However, people seem to think that evil is the easier path and they care about nothing but themselves.

I don't believe that all religion is good, nor do I believe all religions will prevail. However, even though many blame the problems of this world on religion, I agree with you that it's man not religion that's the problem. I think most religions do teach some version of "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Unfortunately, too many people seem to think they have the right to force others to believe as they do. You'd think that after all these years they would have learned that force never works.

Religion bring us closer to God..without religion there is no fellowship between the same faith..The root cause of all evil in this world is not because of religion or merely by man..we have to examine the real cause...this is done by those evil doers, who possess no good spirit at all..

It was really hard to judge who is the main reason why there is so much hatred or sin in the world. But in my own opinion it was a man itself for those who know what is good and what is evil. Because for me if we know the good and the bad it is our selves also know what were going to do. In religion you are right they are teaching how man to move on either right or left. They have a lot of teaching which helps us to be good enough. They teach like moral values, good behavior and many more. Especially they teach about to love others and not being selfish.

Man is the only reason and causes why theres a taboos all over the world.. Because of power, envy, etc. man can do harm to another..Religion is not an issue, man himself causes religion to be the cause why theres a taboos in religion, their faith is totally against their religion.. That is why theres a Man-made catastrope and its very damaging, not just in our environment but to everyone's relationship.. But we cant please every body, there are some people who enjoys destroying the world..

religion was invented by man so man is the root of all evil, you can't blame religion for this, man has a head to think with it not to just follow blindly. I em against organized religion because of this, because it is used to brainwash people and make them do evil acts.

Hello, sweetnsalty. It is all because of the man. However, you have to remember that religion was something created by the man. It is all the same thing. Man is the one who cannot respect his brothers, the one who cannot accept that others will have different opinions. In religion, in sports, in movies, in music, in love. We all have different likes and dislikes, but none of us can deal perfectly with it. You cannot accept how can someone love that stupid person, while others cannot understand how you think like that. It is always like this. The cause of all the evil is man. The cause of all the good things, too. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

Man making things from religious thoughts, to present in his way to other people i.e manipulating the religion, that's why people now a days think that religion is bad, but it is the man who makes it like that.
