Could You Live Without Your Cell Phone?

Last night, I went to get my cell phone off the charger and it said it was fully charged. I turned it on and it came on for just a split second and then it shut itself off. I called Technical Support and they are shipping me a new phone but it won't be here until probably Tuesday or Wednesday. So, now I'm thinking, "Can I go that long without my cell phone?" Lame, right? But right now I'm sitting here at my desk and since my parents are visiting for the Holidays I'm using my Mother's cell phone to text. So when they leave, I will be TOTALLY cell phone free. I do a WHOLE LOT of texting on my cell phone, it is just more convenient when both parties texting are busy and just a simple message here and there when you have time is the best way to discuss things. How would you feel if your cell phone quit? Do you think you could live without your cell phone?

If you need Cell Phone for messaging purpose only then you can use different Internet based free SMS service providers. This is very handy in composing messages as well with the only difficulty is that you need to have a high-speed internet connection.

I think I could, honestly. I don't use my phone that much even though it offers quite a variety of functions. I use it just in case someone looks for me for emergency. I seldom make a call a day and therefore I honestly think that I could live without my cell phone.

Hi Singlemommy! Cell phone is very important nowadays in life . we all used cell phone to its maximum but when it goes out of order it makes us irritated. Sometime the calls does not go some times the incoming calls cannot be attended that we cannot hear the calls and so on. But without cell phone we can live the there must be one lanline at home if the cell is not working we can make calls through landline. Happy posting and have a nice day.

Yes I can live without it. I have put my mobile on silent mode. and I did put it in a drawer. Not to let it dictate my life during my holidays.

i sue could, very seldom ever use mine. my sons would go beserk if theirs went oout. they worry the crap out of me. whrn they come u can't even eat a meal w/out them fooling w/them. cell phones are not really a part of my life. people are addicted to them. i wouldn't even have one if one of my sons hadn't given it to me for christmas a few years back. they do come in handy if u have an emergency but i think people have gotten carried away w/them.

I am totally undone without my cell phone. I lost it a couple of days ago - left it on the cash counter of a supermarket.Later i did get it .But i was without it for a whole day and i was finding it difficult to make calls to anybody since all the numbers were stored on the mobile and i had not memorised any number except for a few.
Once i got back my mobile the first thing i did was to note down all the contact numbers in a tel book..:)

Yes, I can live without my cell phone. In fact I will be a lot happier. Every now and then, when I want to relax, I just turn it off.
How I look forward to the day when I would not have to use a cell phone. That will be the time of my liberation.
But I guess I still have to endure the cell phone in the next 15 years or so.

Today technology like cell phone, if we rely on this gadget often for connect with other, we may become depend on them. Be social, see our friend or relative, rather than talk via cell phone, and yes i can live without it.
I Use it as the other way of how we connect with other.

I think I could do it. I don't text that many people mainly my partner and I don't call people on it much either. I usually just call people every once in awhile and when I do call someone it's usually not for huge important matters. Now, if I were in school right now it would be really important for me to have my cell phone but since I'm on break I think I could make it.

I can definitely live without my cell phone. I only have it because my husband thought that I should have some way to communicate when I am not home. I do not use the phone hardly at all. It is always turned off. My husband was having problems with his phone last week, we thought we could get a new one, but we did not have insurance. We can not afford to buy another one. We switched sim cards, now he has my phone, and I have his, which I do not like. He was going nuts without his phone.

Yes I can live. I can communicate still without using the cellphone. There is a phone a letter or I can go personally to the people I want to talk. I cannot depend on cellphone only. But there is still burdens in communicating instantly and fast without using cellphone. As of now it is the fastest way of communicating with others. I truly accept that the trend today is fast to get with by using it aside from the internet. It was hard to contact by phone if others don't have landline phone. But to accept the truth it was hard to live without cellphone today but for me I can live still. Because I don't have much people time using this device 'coz I was busy with my works inside the house and we are communicating by means of internet.
Happy new year friend!

I have a regular landline and a computer to connect with family and friends. Since I am most of the time staying at home I am not that worried if my cellphone is on or not. Sometimes I just hear it die down and when it does I just leave it there for day or two without charging it. My car has phone connected to on star so if I need an emergency call I can use the car phone when some things happen on the road so I need not worry that much except when the car itself will break down. So basically I live without a cellphone as of now.
