Hello youless...I use cold water straight from the tap for brushing my teeth. There's no hot/warm water. Only straight from the tap as the sink has only one tap - old water. We don't have the tap that has hot and cold water in our house.

Hi youless, I always use the cold tap water while brushing teeth both in the morning and before going to bed. I use the cold water as well if I do any extra brushing after having meal. I seldom use warm water to do this daily routine. What’s more we don’t have such facility of hot water tap at the washing basin in our kitchen, where I use to brush my teeth daily. We have water heater in both of our bathroom, however I dislike brushing my teeth there.
I use warm water to do this brushing routine only when visiting temperate countries during severe cold winter days. I'm scared of the super cold water and dare not using it totally. Water in places where the temperature is below 5 degree C is dreadful indeed, and it would make me shivered. This is only the very time that I need warm water badly.
posting and take care.

We were lucky that warm water was available in all the hotel rooms we had stayed before. So the essential thing to do once we stepped in the hotel room was to check carefully to make sure that there was hot water supplied, as well as the warming machine was function well. I couldn’t imagine how dreadful it would be if without these two important items. We surely couldn’t have our teeth brushing and showering, and even couldn’t get off to sleep too, during the long night in the severe cold winter.

I just use cold water all the time. Because our country is in the tropical zone, and there isn't a need for us to use the warm water. It's expensive to install one too. But when I stay in the hotel during travel to overseas, I will use the warm water to wash my face or brush my teeth, especially in those regions with cold weather. I remembered I had tried washing face and brushing with the icy old water. It's so cold and I couldn't stand it and quickly switch to warm water.

I am not only afraid of cold, but the heat as well. Therefore, I seldom stay outdoor due to the intense sun light throughout the year over here. It's nice to stay within the company building where the cool air conditioning is running all the time. Therefore, I seldom have lunch outside, and would rather stay with the food provided by the indoor cafeteria. Aside from saving the time to go out for lunch, I could enjoy the subsidy given by company for those who have their lunch in the canteen.

Wah... use warm water to brush teeth?
The only time I did that was when I was in Europe on a tour.
Too expensive to pipe the whole home with hot water.
And with kids in the home, it is not advisable to have hot and cold water in the home as well.
It is quite luxurious to be able to wash up in the morning with warm water.
From brushing my teeth to shaving. It is really is very very nice.

yep. It is not necessary to do that. That is why I say it is a luxury.
Something that is only good if you can afford the money to pipe the whole home with hot water. But it is nice to be able to do so. As in use warm water to brush teeth and shave.

Yup, like my wife has responded - it's cold water straight from the tap as we don't have any sensitive issues with our teeth or gums plus it would make no sense to boil water just for brushing teeth when we can use the cold one straight from the tap.

Where I live there is nothing like cold water... tepid at best and the coldest water I can use is what I use... I really don't like the taste of warm water in my mouth.
It would be interesting and if I can remember I will ask my dentist if it makes any difference either way.
Great question.
Thanks

I haven't really given this any notice, i guess i will just use whatever water is available. But it might feel a little weird to use warm water to brush my teeth. In a tropical country like ours, people usually use cold water and drink cold water, even if its rainy hehe

I would have to say cold. I don't know why but that cold water does the trick. I have never intentionally used warm water to brush with. It just doesn't feel clean with warm water in the end. If it turns out to be better to use warm water, I'm in trouble...maybe I'll have to just rinse with cold water in this instance...Mamablaze!!

I normally brush my teeth with warm water. I don't know I'm more used to using the warm water for just about anything. But hearing that it is good for your teeth, makes me want to do it all the more. My hand just normally reaches for the hot water and then the cold water to make it warm.

Good afternoon, youless. I usually use cold water to brush my teeth in winter. I usually use cold water to wash my face as well though I use some warm water to wash my face once in a while. I think that it makes me feel more wide awake to use cold water to wash my face. Take care and stay warm, youless.

I regularly use cold water to brush my teeth, even though I have problems with sensitive teeth. My teeth is very sensitive to sweets, so I had brush my teeth with cold water in order to calm it down.

I have never equated warm water with brushing my teeth. I just use the tap for this. I suppose this might be an issue if one lives in a temperate country. I am lucky to be living in a tropical paradise although I do need to do something about my financial poverty. Cheers!!!

I use cold water. I don't want to take the time to wait for the water to warm up for a 10 second "wash." There's nothing wrong with using cold water on your teeth. It's not really all that different than when you're drinking a glass of cold water.
