Do the number of posts shown against our name can go downwards?

Today while I posted one discussion,my posting number reduced from 91 to 89.Is it normal? For what reasons,the numbers can go down?

Yes it can go down. May be you have responded to some discussions and later on the discussions are deleted by admins due to violation of guidelines. That will reduce number of postings for all those members who has posted their comments there and got their posting numbers increased.

Thank you mokbul. Now I got the reason why my posting numbers reduced. Of course we can not help it. We can save our time by not responding to discussions ,that have some violations.

I experienced a reduction too. some say it's due to deleted posts or comments but in my experience, none of my posts and comments got deleted but my number still went down.

Hi sixclix, I don't think your number went down for no reasons. You have done 263 postings already.How did you check up any of your old postings removed or not. So I think may be some of your old postings deleted and so your posting number gone down. Happy mylotting

I noticed this when I still had around 100 posts. now I don't monitor how many posts I have. There's just too many

Indeed it will reduce if you violated the terms and guidelines of myLot and that would mean your responses were deleted. There are ways too that your response/s are deleted and that came from other members who violated the guidelines.

Your number of posts can go down for sure. Mine has quite a few times since I've joined but I've posted in posts that were deleted.
