How is your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ? Do you think that it could be better and how can you get closer to Him in the comming new year? I find my self getting closer by studying the Word of God and all that it teaches. The more I read
the better I begin to understand His ways of life and how He continues to guide us today eventhough He is not active with man in this new millennium, He is still and always will be in control over everything. So as we head into a new and hopeful year we must continue to follow His laws and word so that our faith can grow and in turn we become closer with our Lord. And by doing so we can ovecome anything the enemy tries to put in our way to bring us down and to make us lose faith. Happy New Year and God bless you all.

reasco1...I couldn't agree with you more! I have a very close relationship with my Lord Jesus Christ and I pray every day for his guidance and wisdom to live in (not of) this world. I believe the more we read and study the closer and stronger our relationship will be. Things will be revealed to us that we may not have seen before. You can read a scripture today and a year from today read it again and it will take on a whole different meaning...revelation brought on to us by the Holy Spirit! Scripture warns us of these very days we are in now and we must stand strong! Pray for strength, guidance and wisdom not only for ourselves as Christians, but for the leaders of all our countries! I wish everyone a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year!

Just recently,... i was thinking and meditating about my relationship with my maker my God. I was soooo consumed with alot of other things that sometimes I have no time to read the BIble. Yes, I agree that the more that I read HIS word the more that I get strengthen and I felt that I become closer to HIM.
I do have a lot of goals this coming new year. Goals with my work, ministry goals, personal goals,.... but its all mere goals without the help of HIM who give the goals. I pray that this coming would be the year of more intimate relationship with HIM.

I agree with some of your sentiments but this line I don't agree. He continues to guide us today even though He is not active with man in this new millennium,Please remember that it is not God who is seeking us but it is us who are seeking God. For this millennium men as turn their back on God. I believe this happen because Preachers and Pastors were going around prophesying that God was coming in the year 2000. Now that we are in 2008 men come to do things their own way.
Because of misleading information some persons who was in the faith lose theirs and the one who don't believe still in the unbelieving quarter. So let us try to bring back the lost sheep and for the unbelievers pray for guidance and wisdom so that we can show then the wonders of God work.

Praise be to the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. I have had the great privilege of attending a Christian College where i have the chance to grow closer to my Lord through studying his word, prayer, and communion with friends. Sadly i have been back home for a few weeks where i have struggled with past sins. I look forward to next semester when i can return to such a Godly place.
However, as a follower of Christ it should be my goal to represent his majesty in every setting, so i think that will be one of my new years resolutions.
