So often i get up when i hear my husband snoring, and he grumbels that i snore too. But i have never been able to hear myself snore, whereas my husband gets up afrom his own snoring sound, a bit startled as well. So i assume he must just be making up stories, as i have never startled myself out of sleep.

My husband does the SAME thing! He snores really loud, but I am a heavy sleeper. I guess I am used to it. He says that I snore, but then laughs about it as he does when he is kidding me about something. He wakes himself up and jerks up violently. He also has a tendency to stop breathing... I think he has sleep apnea. When your husband wakes you up snoring, tap him and make him roll over and sleep on his side... That ALWAYS works with my husband.

Look it up on the net - sleep apnoeia seems to be potentially life threatening .... and a consultation with the doctor is a must if he seems to stop breathing

Oh, sweetnsalty, you betcha! I wake myself up many a day snoring to beat the band. I am so loud at times that I wake myself up, he-he-he! I do not sleep a lot so when I finally catch a few winks I tend to snore...hard and long. The only solution I have found is to get more sleep more often.

I have startled myself awake a few times. It happens at times if I am all stopped up and can't breath through my nose while sleeping. But snoring just to snore like my husband does?? No way, I don't do that.

My brother snores, but he can't hear it himself. Some people seem to be able to others can't that's what I think.

I usually wear earplugs at night so I don't wake up. If I'm in a certain position while sleeping, I sometimes hear myself starting to snore, then I wake right up. One night, I actually recorded my snoring and was shocked by how loud it was. It sounded like a tractor that was stuck in the mud!

When you are sleeping you can't really hear yourself. The reason is because you are in a deep state of sleep. Only the people beside you can hear you snore.

i can;t hear my snoring sound. i don;t think i snore . my husband will also snore and he too does not accept about it and sometimes i scolds him that i will record it in mobile and show him. but he skips the snoring matter when i tell about it. u can also record his snoring sound and show it to him ,then he can accept u. but try to find the reason for his snoring and show him to a doctor and it can be easily cured by doctor. if he is overweight also he can get snoring more. so see his weight and try to control his weight if he is overweight.
